"NO!! NO!! NO!!!! Don't you dare do it!"
Vennessa struggled to break free from the grip of Ida's minions. All her friends had been beaten and captured. She couldn't shake them off, and her furious eyes locked onto Ida, who stood smirking in front of her.

"Ida, I'm warning you... Give it back to me!"
She lunged, trying to grab what Ida was holding. A crystal ball-her most prized possession-twirled carelessly in his hand. He grinned and replied mockingly,
"Warn me? Don't forget... your fortune is in my hand."
He let out a cruel, mocking laugh.

Vennessa froze in fear. Her friends, Sky Suzuhara and Erina Amayuki, shouted at Ida from behind. His minions had captured them too-they were helpless, bound near Vennessa. Sky, clearly frightened, still managed to yell,
"Ida, leave us alone! Don't do this!"
Erina had already snapped.
"You senseless jerk! You're only doing this because our boys aren't here. Just wait-you're so dead when they show up!"

"Dead? ME?" Ida laughed like a maniac.
"Bring them in."

Everyone turned toward the door in confusion. Seniors from the class above came in, dragging two unconscious boys. They dumped them on the floor like trash. Both were Vennessa's close friends. Her eyes widened in horror.

"What have you done to them?! Nooo-my Shawn, baby!!" Erina cried out. Sky's face turned pale with fear.

That crystal ball-Vennessa's rare collectible from her idol Hitedo's signature series-meant the world to her. She had worked so hard to get it. It wasn't just a fan item; it was everything to her. Seeing it in Ida's hand made her heart race in panic.

Ida, clearly enjoying this, twisted the knife deeper.
"Now you're just as helpless as this ball. No one's going to save you."

With that, he smirked-and dropped it.

The ball shattered on the ground right in front of Vennessa.

Suddenly-

A blue light glowed in the dark, followed by a yellow light curling around it. The two mixed.

And then Vennessa SNAPPED. She screamed,
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!"

In an instant, the entire classroom was engulfed in a shockwave of electric power.
Students watching from the sidelines were thrown into walls. Ida and his gang were launched into the blackboard, crashing through desks. Window panes shattered.

The explosion echoed like a thunderclap across the school.
From the canteen, a guy dropped his lunch and bolted.
"Shit..." he muttered, already running toward the blast.

As the dust settled, Vennessa sat in the middle of the chaos-dazed, hair frizzed like she'd been struck by lightning.

Sky stumbled over, her hair puffed out like cotton.
"Vennessa... are you okay?"

Still stunned, Vennessa didn't respond. Erina grabbed her arm, grinning through her shock.
"What was that power?! Vennessa, that was awesome!"
Her hair looked like it had been fried in a socket too.

Everyone's hair was standing on end. The room was silent except for soft groans. Ida and his minions were knocked out cold.
Shawn and Derrick stirred slowly, starting to wake up.

Vennessa and her friends rushed over to them.

But just then-

A strong gust of wind blew in from the shattered windows.

Vennessa turned her head-and froze.
Standing in the window was a mysterious guy with black wings and jet-black hair, a hawk perched on his shoulder.

"So this is where you've been hiding all this time, huh..."

Vennessa's heart raced.
"Wh-What?! Who are you?!"

The guy raised his hand and spoke coldly,
"Capture her. She's the Fifth Element."

The hawk launched toward her in a deadly dive.

"GO!!!"

Out of nowhere, a giant bunny leapt through the air and landed on the bird, stopping it mid-flight.

The winged guy glared at the classroom door.

Another guy stepped inside.
"Not on my watch, Raven."

The two guys locked eyes-the tension between them like a long-time rivalry reignited.
Vennessa looked from one to the other, completely confused. Her friends stared too, trying to figure out what was going on.

The students left unconscious were frozen in place.
The entire school felt the shockwave of that moment.

And that was the moment...
everything took a 360° turn in Vennessa Autumn's once pretty life.
