The shards of my dreams have fallen apart,
I have lost everything and am back at the start,
cause the world is cruel, a deep dark cave,
bound by its ways, I had became a slave.
A slave who always did what was told,
A slave who thought he had an image to uphold,
A slave who thought he was loved by all,
but little did I know about the world, cold.
I darted through the light, shunning the whispers of dark,
but found the rough world on me, leaving its mark,
as soon as I stopped adhering its ways,
It showed me its ruthless and cruel displays.
And hence, I was back at square one,
but this time I knew the ways of the world,
whenever it tried to push me down again,
I evaded its tricks whenever it swirled.
Thus, the lesson that I learnt from life,
Is that you may fall, but you can survive,
if you ignore its hardships away,
and live to the fullest each passing day.
