I was now standing in front of the police station, my whole body was numb, i was terrified of taking another step knowing what was waiting for me at the other side, just the thought of seeing the victorious look on my uncle's face made me want to throw up but this was my fate and nothing could change that.

" You better not change your mind right now because you know what is at stake, do you hear me young lady?" Donald said.

I heard you the first time but before we get inside, are you not curious at all to know why he is inside a police cell?

It doesn't really matter what you think he did, he is family and family looks out for each other, Donald said.

Oh he is family forgive me that i didn't know that, what about me? Am i not your family? I am a liar as well, just perfect dad.

Just shut up okay, you are going to go inside and drop the charges against my brother and then we will sort everything as a family, Donald said.

Child, are you sure about what you are doing? Once you change your statement, there is nothing that we can do to help you, the detective said.

Yes sir i am sure, i made a mistake and i am here to correct it.

Mister we don't have all day, can you release my brother immediately? Donald said.

I don't think i was speaking to you, you are lucky i don't want to make a scene otherwise that animal you call a brother wouldn't see the light of day, the detective said.

Well fortunately it is not up to you, don't think that i will let this slide your superiors will hear of this, Donald said.

Do your worst sir, you think that your status in society is the real thing and neglect what actually matters, the detective said.

Sorry to interrupt sir, the prisoner is here, one of the officers said.

Remove the cuffs off him and bring his personal belongings and the release forms that he has to sign, the detective said.

Hello my sweet niece, hi brother thank you for bailing me out, Connor smirked.

Good to see that you are in good shape, i was going to sue them if they had tortured you in any way, Donald said.

It is alright Donald, we don't have to waste our precious time on things that don't matter, Connor said.

Throughout the drive home i was being lectured by my dad about family blah blah and how i was a disgrace to my family. I just blocked everything out while i thought of ways to end my pain and misery once and for all.
