In a Nazi military school,
June 21st, 1941.
The general called on every student in it for an assembly. All quiet and calm, and they listened to him.
"Now I say, comrades, everyone has bravery, I see. Because of your hard work, you got this far."
Dead silence.
"Now you all are going to front lines! Are you ready to protect the motherland?"
"Yes, we are, sir!" all shouted.
"Then, tomorrow, we're showing our bravery to those who messes up with us. Let's show 'em what a German bullet looks like!"

Among the happy students who are going to home after that, there named, Fred, a young man whose ambition is to be a soldier, and to protect his country.
"Mom! Mom!"
"What in the devil is going on sweetheart?"
"I'm now a soldier. I'm going to protect this country! I'm going
to front lines tomorrow!"
His mom hugged in tears.
"I wish your father could see you in the uniform..."
Fred looked at his father's photo. He was a general in World War I who had fallen due to a landmine.
"Dad..." he said while tears drop in his eyes.
--------------------------------------------------------
Then, at night, Fred went out, stood in front of a house. He clapped twice.
A young lady came out and stood by the balcony.
In hand gestures, he asked her to come out.
"Dad's sleeping!"
"Let him sleep peacefully, while we talk"
She came out, and walked along the street with Fred.
"Lily, I'm going frontlines tomorrow. I'm now a soldier! Woohoo!"
"Hey, that's good news! My dad says I can marry you if you're a soldier."
"You see? Nothing's impossible!"
"I have no words, Fred"
"If you don't have any, I have some."
He knelt down.
"I... I really love you"
"Ohh." she smiled.
"Now, when this war ends, when the world is peaceful, and when every flower blooms, I will... marry you"
Then, they put their lips together, and kissed. It was their last known kiss.
Then they both sang a song.
"So, will you please say 'hello', to the folks that I know."
"Tell 'em I won't be long. They'll be happy that as you saw me go."
"I was singin' this song."
(We'll Meet Again – Vera Lynn – 1939)
Fred stepped on something. It was a piece of paper, a newspaper. He picked it up.
"War had spread to eastern Europe"
That was the headline of the newspaper.
"What is it, Fred?"
