"I know, I know. I was supposed to be expelled. How is it possible? The school board must be crazy for letting me return to this school." I quoted the students from this morning and walked deeper into the woods. Carson, thankfully, stayed in the spot I had left him in. I did, however, manage to hear what he choked out next.

"Y-you're really back?" Is everyone seriously going to keep asking me that? I mean, they can see me, can't they? Why even ask such an incredibly stupid question? I stopped walking and turned to face him with a smug grin on my face.

"Nope. I'm a ghost that is stuck here on the campus until I make everyone who destroyed my life, pay. I was going to wait and kill you last, you know, to keep the suspense going, but since you're here: any last words?" Carson's face paled at the word, destroyed, making my smile broaden. He knows what I'm talking about; good. His eyes looked down at the grass shamefully as I turned and began walking again. I was only slightly lying to the boy. I mean, I wasn't dead and I'd rather not go back to a concrete cell, but I am going to make him pay; that's one thing I could never lie about.

"What happened to you?" His deep voice yelled from behind me. Wow, this question again. Did people really expect me to return with the same, bubbly and kind-hearted attitude I had before? Once again: Why even ask such an incredibly stupid question? I ignored his question and placed my earphones back in my ears, not bothering look back.

Of course, I should've known after dating the guy for a year that he highly dislikes being ignored. It used to drive him crazy when I'd give him the silent treatment. Back then I'd do it just to mess around with him, he'd end up tickling me, I'd break, and then we'd talk for hours nonstop.

Flashback:

"Greece!" The boy to my right, whined. He's been begging me to talk to him for the past five minutes, using both my nickname and full name. It was quite amusing to have the Lacrosse team captain practically at my feet, pleading for my attention. I almost cracked, almost, but somehow managed to keep a straight face and turn away from him. I felt the couch shift under Carson's weight, causing me to become alert. I knew what he was going to attempt to do, so just before he grabbed me, I jumped from the sofa, taking off upstairs.

I ran into my closet, shut the door as quiet as possible, then waited for my boyfriend to come. His footsteps stalked up the stairs, slowly and tauntingly, as if he knew he was going to find me. When I heard my bedroom door creek open a small gasp escaped, which I quickly tried to muffle with my hand. "Hmm, I wonder where my beautiful girlfriend is." Carson teased. He knew I was in here and I couldn't help but let out a stifled giggle. His footsteps halted for a moment, before starting up again, getting closer and closer to my closet door. I could almost feel the cocky smirk that was plastered on his face.

Suddenly the doors flew open, showing Carson with, as I predicted, a smirk, and mischief twinkling in his honey colored eyes. "No, no, no." I screeched, holding my hands up to guard my stomach. "I'm sorry, Car. Please don't." Instead of backing away and letting me escape, my boyfriend lunged for me, grabbing me by my waist and throwing me onto my bed.

Immediately, my hands wrapped tighter around my stomach, but were pulled away with ease, and pinned above my head. Carson's fingers began to torture my sides, tickling me mercilessly, while only I screamed and laughed, tears coming out of my eyes. "Tell me that I am the best boyfriend ever." Being the proud person I am, I shook my head, still laughing like a maniac. "Say it, Greece." He ordered, playfully. Wanting the torture to end, I complied, reciting what he told me to say.

The tickling ended, but my hand were still pinned down. Carson was smiling down at me with his normal heart-melting grin as he leaned forward and whispered in my ear. "I love you, Nyx Evangeline Peters." My eyes widened. Did he- Oh my God he did. I trailed my eyes up to his which were gazing down adoringly. He leaned into me again and I instinctively closed my eyes. His lips landed on my eyelids. "I love those big, bright green eyes." Next, he kissed my nose. "I love your freckle covered nose." The hand pinning my arms above my head, trailed down to my dark brown, almost black, hair, gently twirling a strand of it in between his fingers. "I love your long, dark hair." I didn't bother moving my hands, as I was too in shock at what this boy was telling me. His golden eyes were back on mine now, his face serious as he opened his mouth to speak again. "I love every little thing about you, but the real question is: Do you love me?" Speechless, I could only nod, but it was true. I loved this boy to the moon and back.

"Say it." Carson demanded; his voice was low, still in a whisper.

"I- I love you." A bright smile formed on his lips as if I'd just told him he'd won the lottery. He leaned forward again, only this time, capturing my lips.

Flashback Over

Now, though, there was no 'messing around' involved; I seriously just didn't have the energy or patience to talk to him. I turned up the volume on my music and walked aimlessly into the forest, praying for the memories to disappear some way.

A/N: So this was like one of the first books I had written on Wattpad, but I unpublished it so I could to some major editing. It's still not perfect, but if you had read it before, I'm just going to tell you that the plot is a bit different, so don't expect the same characters or anything.
(Dove Cameron as Theia and Ryan Newman as Nyx)

Questions Of The Chapter:

1. How do you like Nyx's attidtude?

2. What do you think happened between Carson and Nyx?

3. How'd you like the flashback? Should I do more?
