The Contract (Part 12)

Start from the beginning

"You're mad"

"He doesn't deserve to be a father" I tell her.

"No he doesn't" She says "but you make it sound as if you made the mistake on purpose"

I sit on the edge of her bed "No, but I would have expected my responsibility. And it wouldn't have been through rape" I tell her I feel her small hand as they go around my head holding me against her "You deserve so much better Bean" I tell her "let me do this for you for tge baby" He says.

"What will our parents think" She asked.

"That we're absolutely insane probably" I say "but I can careless." I tell her looking up at her my hand goes to her stomach "This baby, deserve a father that's welling to fight for her and be there when she needs her" I tell Sabine "not someone like him."

She smiles "You going do that"

I smile back "Of course" I tell her standing "I'll be both your heroes" I tell her.

I can't stop myself leaning down my lips clam hers. I feel her hands on my shirt as they tighten. She moans into the kiss and I pull back licking my lips.

"What about the contract" she asked.

"I don't need no contact to tell me what I know" I tell her.

Her eyes follow mine "What do you know" she asked.

"I love you Bean" I tell her.

"Isn't this the part where one of us is supposed to walk away" She asked.

"I don't think you want to do that, I got that message loud and clear" I tell her.

She blushes "Why didn't you say anything" She asked.

"I was trying to work through my own feelings." I tell her.

She smiles again "I'm glad you got them worked out" She says.

"Me too" I tell her.

Leaning down my lips mold with hers once more.

"We're going have to tell everyone else you know that right" She says.

"Yeah," I say pulling into my arms I kiss her head "Back to the baby"

"Yes, we can put your name on the certificate and that's another reason we need to tell them."

"We need to name her" I said.

"I was going to go with Dove" She says

"No, that's too weird" I tell her

"Fine, daddy" She says rolling her eyes at me.

"I like that" I tell her leaning down to kiss her again. "Daddy"

"When will we tell them" She asked.

"Soon, let's wait a while before we tell them." I tell her..

"You're not going back out are you"

"Not on your life, I love you"

"I love you"

"I need to go, see you at dinner"

She smiles it was always good when Sabine was smiling. I head to my room to clean up. This was going be good. I grab my phone as I am getting ready texting my dad.

Adam: dad I need your help with something

Dad: what is it

Adam: Sabine.

It takes him a while to answer and I began to think he isn't going to reply but then I see the bubbles appear on my screen I smile.

Dad: tell what you need

Adam: Sabine just fond out she's pregnant. I'm claiming the baby.

Dad: are you sure that's what you want to do.

Adam: remember asking me if I was in love with her.

Dad: I knew you were

Adam: we are ready to tell the others but I'm not sure about how

Dad: let me see what I can do and Adam I'm poud of you

I smile Adam: I have to go for now

Dad: I'll text when I can

I pocket my phone and head down for dinner. Having my dad to back me up made me feel good. I sit beside Sabine my hand under the table takes her hand. And when no one is looking I let her know dad would be helping us work this whole thing out.

The next couple of weeks was a little rough we had court. Sabine had to testify. She cried the whole time. By the end Raymond Baker the man that raped her went away for life. It was heart breaking though to have to sit through. I done my part as my father had said and told my truth. But all the hard evidence put him away for a long time.

Later Sabine and I sit in my truck outside the court house as our parents talked.

"Are we going do this tonight" She asked.

"I don't know dad hasn't said a word." I tell her looking out the window.

"I can't wait forever Adam" she says.

"I know, let me talk to him."

There's a knock at my window I roll it down dad stands there.

"Are you two ready" He asked

"Yes what's the plan" I ask

"I have your mom and Sabines parents meeting us at your mom's place. We'll all have a talk there" He says.

"Thanks dad" I tell him.

"Try to understanding that they might not take it as gracefully as I did" dad says.

"We understand"

"Bean, you alright dear"

"Yes sir thank you for everything"

He smiles I know he's always liked Sabine. "Having you as a daughter in law isn't a bad idea"

She smiles "Maybe in the future" she says.

"I'll see you two at the house drive save" He says

I roll my window up truning to Sabine. I reach over buckling her seat belt. Then we start towards the house. Everyone is there as dad said they would be. I park beside mom's car so others could get out later.

"You ready" I ask Sabine

"Yes"

I get out then help her down. We start in, from the outside you can hear the chatter. It sounded like Sunday after church. We step in and everyone looks at us.

"There you are" Mom says

"We thought you got lost" Rachel says.

I smile "We're fine" I tell them.

"Were all here now" Dad says "Adam and Sabine have something they want to shear" He tells the others.

"This should be interesting" Brandon says.

I felt Sabine sink down into the couch beside me. My hand goes to her her back for comfort my fingers gently caress over her covered flesh.

"Bean and I have been talking and we both thank that my name should go down as the father of the baby when she's born" I say.

"That's a huge step Adam" Mom says.

"A very huge step" Brandon says "Very mature of the two of you. But why?"

I look back at Bean "Do you want to tell or should I" I ask her she blushes soild red it's cute on her and try not to smile, I nod knowing the answer to my question "before the om" I say struggle with my words "actadent, there was a chance that the baby could have been mine" I tell them.

It's quiet too quiet, "Why don't you two go on up to your rooms?" Brandon says.

"Preferably separate rooms," Rachel mumbles.
