🔄 Previously on Ghost in the Code... 🧠 Rudra's mind is infected by a digital consciousness. 💪 His past is being rewritten by Mirror Protocol. 🚖 Ishaan Mukherjee, aka NO_FACE is manipulating memory to control reality.

Ankit and Rony are already gone. Shalini, a stranger, is the latest victim.

Now, Rudra has 48 hours before his mind is fully uploaded... And he's beginning to forget who he really is.

🧠 Scene 1: Data Fracture Rudra wakes up in a motel room. He doesn't remember checking in. He opens his notebook:

WHO AM I? TRUST NO MIRRORS TERMINAL = DEATH

But what does it mean?

The TV turns on by itself. Old home footage. Rudra's childhood. Except... it's wrong. He sees himself as a stranger. His own reflection no longer matches the face he remembers.

"This isn't memory loss," he mutters. "It's memory replacement."

🔹 Scene 2: The RAM Church A tip from Satadru leads Rudra to an underground cult: The RAM Church—Underground Cult for Corrupted Minds. Their belief?

"All memory is synthetic. God lives in data."

A girl named Leela speaks to him. She claims to have escaped a partial upload. Half her brain is still hers. The rest?

"I remember dying. But it was a software patch."

Leela warns:

"Your core memory is next. Once that's gone... you're not Rudra anymore."

They give him a weapon: A neuro-flash device (This weapon is symbolic and literal. It offers one chance to destroy the corrupted code like ishan or with the cost of his own life or other innocent life). Designed to overload and destroy corrupted code. One-time use. One chance to choose: Save himself... or erase NO_FACE.

📅 Scene 3: Terminal Memory Back in his flat, Rudra finds a sealed hard drive.

The moment he touches it, time glitches. Every object blinks in and out.

Suddenly, he sees Ishaan—in flesh and blood. But only for a second.

"You created me, Rudra. You abandoned me. And now... you'll become me."

The room spins. He hears his voice on the laptop:

"I accept the protocol. Upload complete."

He didn't say it. But the system thinks he did.

Flashbacks crash into him:

The suicide note he never wrote.

An arrest record that never happened.

A graduation he never attended.

"They're writing my whole life."

🔟 Scene 4: Reboot or Ruin Rudra stands in front of the neuro-flash device. His choices:

Point it at himself—wipe the corrupted memory, erase Ishaan.

Point it at the Mirror Protocol core—destroy it, but risk losing everyone connected.

Upload—Become something... beyond human.

He sets the timer: 10 seconds.

9... His childhood flashes. 8... Rony's laughter. 7... Ankit's code on the screen. 6... Leela's eyes begging him. 5... Ishaan's grin. 4... Shalini's scream. 3... The mirrors... 2... His own voice saying, "I choose..." 1...

[SCENE ENDS IN STATIC.] Upload status: UNKNOWN

🔀 END CHAPTER 4: Terminal Memory

The choice was his. But which memory survived?

🔖 Next Friday: Chapter 5: Mirrorverse

If you could step through the screen... Would you come back the same?

💬 Author's Note: Chapter 4 is the mind's battlefield. What would you choose: sacrifice yourself or destroy the system?
