.......................so hey

seriously none of you understand how bad I feel about not being able to update for so so long

and yes I couldn't update (not because I didn't choose to I wouldn't do that) life decided to exist and ruin everything

and I know you're probably thinking "who's completely busy for over a month?"

me

I was

honestly would've rather been writing this than dying out in the real world

but it's okay because here's a chapter! even if it's been ten thousand years!

I feel so so so so bad and even if updates should be coming a lot sooner than this long hiatus they will be slower than they were before ):

please just bare with me i'm trYING

and since so much happened while I was gone (album tracklist, preorder, can't sleep love, more abuse of the word soon, Mitch talking to some guy named Levi on Twitter for like two seconds but I still felt proud and took credit, tbh a scolex wedding, and Avi officially changed his name to Jesus) I'm just not going to address/mention any of it

anyways welcome to poison and wine hope you didn't forget everything like I did lol

"I turn my back"

The day started out ordinary for Alex.

He woke early to go to the gym before making a quick trip to the grocery store. He showered immediately once he returned home, not able to withstand his scent any longer. And, considering the flexibility of his schedule for the day, he settled into the couch, flipping through channels until he found a show, relishing in the tranquility of his morning, which was when his phone began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hi Lex. Can you---do you have time to talk?"

Alex stood from the couch, subconsciously running a hand through his hair, and then walking out onto the balcony.

"Yeah, sure. Everything okay?"

"Not really."

"I figured that out on my own. You sound like you've been crying."

"A little bit, yeah."

"We've reached the point where you tell me what happened and I stop worrying."

"It's not me."

"What isn't?"

"What happened...it didn't happen to me."

"Cut it out, alright? You're really scaring me."

"It's Mitch."

Alex's mind wandered into endless possibilities. Scenarios of all kinds seeped into his brain, further and further, taking over his whole body, restraining him from speaking up and saying something, anything. It was when Scott called his name that he realized the blonde was waiting for a response.

"I---is he---"

"Oh my God! He's not dead or anything! I'm so sorry I probably worried you to death. No pun intended!"

"Somewhere near there." Alex leaned against the railing, breathing in the air, and telling his mind to slow down.

"He's fine. I mean, as fine as he can be. I don't know. I'm saying this all wrong."

"It's okay."

"Just go on Facebook, alright? We posted a Mitch Mondays thing and just...read the comments."
