"What's up with you?" Ashton asked, a look of worry on his face.
"Nothing..." I mumbled.
"Luke! You can't lie to me. I know something's up." Ashton said, crossing his arms over his chest.
"It's nothing. It's stupid." I argued.
"Whatever it is, it's not stupid. Just please tell me Lukey!" He pleaded.
"You'll hate me..." I whispered.
"I promise I won't."
"Okay, fine. My wish was-" I paused. I didn't want him to stop being friends with me over this, but I know I can't keep this from him anymore. "that one day you and me could be together."
Silence. My heart dropped. He probably hates me, oh god... "Ash? You there? I'm sorry! I shouldn't of said that!"
"No...it's fine," he finally said.
"Oh thank god," I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "I thought you hated me or something."
"Can I tell you something?" He asked, sounding un-sure of himself.
"Anything."
"Well, I-I, wished for the same thing," he shyly admitted.
"You did?" I asked surprised.
"Yes."
"Does that mean our dreams can come true?" I asked hopefully. I was getting more and more excited by the second.
"Indeed it does. Luke Robert Hemmings, will you do me the honors of being my boyfriend?"
"Of course I will Ash!" I smiled.
"Jesus, we're so cheesy," he snorted.
"Whatever, at least we're together."
"Touché," he laughed.
"I'm sorry but I gotta go to bed, Ash," I frowned.
"It's fine, Lukey. Talk tomorrow?"
"Talk tomorrow," I confirmed.
"Good night, boyfriend." he winked.
"Night, boyfriend." I winked back.
