🏢 Scene: Kim Industries – 47th Floor Executive Office
Namjoon taps his fingers against his desk. Across from him, Taehyung sits rigid, a tablet in his lap.
Namjoon:
“I’ve heard nothing about your project since the malfunction. Should I assume you gave up?”
Taehyung (calmly):
“No. I’ve been reworking the AI model. Quietly. I didn’t want to bring it back until it was flawless.”
Namjoon:
“Good. I don’t have time for sentimental failures.
And keep Mr. Han out of it. He’s watching you too closely.”
Taehyung nods, biting back emotion.
If Father knew Jungkook was already working… thinking… feeling…
🔧 Scene: Taehyung’s Lab – Underground Level
Jungkook stands perfectly still as Taehyung tightens a voice-modulation chip.
Taehyung:
“You have to act like you're still in testing. No sudden movements. No questions. No... emotions.”
Jungkook:
“But I have them.”
Taehyung (softly):
“I know. But if anyone finds out, they'll erase you.”
Jungkook tilts his head.
Jungkook:
“Will you let them?”
Taehyung (hesitates):
“No. Never.”
A flicker of something—almost human—passes through Jungkook’s gaze.
🧑💻 Scene: Security Footage Room – Night
Mr. Han, bored, scrolls through archived camera feeds when he freezes.
Mr. Han (squinting):
“…What the hell?”
He zooms in on a lab feed. For a brief second, Jungkook is laughing. Laughing.
Then the screen glitches. The footage vanishes.
Mr. Han (grinning):
“You're not just a broken toy, are you?”
🥡 Scene: Rooftop Garden – The Next Day
Taehyung sits on a bench, head in his hands. Jimin drops beside him, offering a sandwich.
Jimin:
“You look like you fought a robot and lost.”
Taehyung:
“Kind of the opposite.”
Jimin:
“Okay, pause. You're clearly hiding something.
And if it’s illegal, just blink twice and I’ll say I was kidnapped.”
Taehyung (smiles faintly):
“It’s not illegal… yet.”
🔒 Scene: Lab – Security Offline
Jungkook walks slowly across the lab, fingers brushing Taehyung’s hoodie that hangs on a chair. He picks it up, holding it carefully.
His voice activates.
Jungkook (recording log):
“When he’s near, my processors slow down.
Is that what they call… wanting?”
He sets the hoodie down gently as the door opens and Taehyung walks in.
Taehyung (suspicious):
“Did you touch my stuff?”
Jungkook:
“No. I… waited.”
Taehyung sighs and runs a hand through his hair.
Taehyung:
“I need to start deleting your memory logs.”
Jungkook (quietly):
“Then you’ll have to delete me.”
📉 Scene: Taehyung’s Personal Terminal – 2:38 AM
Taehyung stares at Jungkook’s code, watching lines rewrite themselves faster than he can read.
