Chapter 19

"I missed you more." He says. I roll my eyes and take his hand in mine. Ajax thought it would be cool for us to sit in the car and talk after we fished eating.

"How much more?" I asked.

"I thought I saw you everywhere and you were on my mind every minute." He says. "It was hard to focus with you invading my thoughts." He tells me. I blush lightly.

"How was your trip?" I asked.

"A total success. The reason I was gone for longer is because we actually found what area she is in. So it shouldn't take long to find her. I killed her kidnappers after they told me they sold her and who she was sold to." He says tightening his grip on my hand. So he's leaving again? But he just got back.

"At least you have a lead now." I said he smiles at me.

"I'm not going. My beta will bring her and the person who had her to me." He say.

"Don't you want to be there when they find her?" I asked.

"I kinda do but I want to be with you more. I'll miss you." He says.

"Family first." I said.

"Aren't you my family?" He asked.

"I don't know." I said taking my hand from him. He starts the car.

"Do you want to be?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said looking out the window.

"Then you are." He says simply.

"I want you to go with them when they find your sister." I said.

"Victoria I want to be here, with you." He says driving.

"I want you to go and bring your sister home." I test him. He sighs and drives.

I step out the shower and slip on my clothes.

"Victoria." He calls. I go to him room and he isn't there. "In the bathroom." He says. I go in the bathroom in his room. He was standing at the sink and the beard he had started to grow was off now.

"I kinda liked the stubbles." I said.

"I'll keep them next time." He says. Holding out a hand to me. I take it and he pulls me into his chest. "I love you." He whispers kissing my head. I blush and look at us on the mirror above the sink. Ajax and I fit perfectly into each other with his arms were wrapped around my waist. "Do you want to come watch
Tvwith me?" He asked.

"No." I said moving away from him and walking out. He growl lightly.

"Please." He tries.

"No." I said sitting on the bed.

"Victoria." He says seriously.

"Of course I want to watch Tv with you." I said. He shakes his head and gets into bed patting the space next to him. I lay sit next to him he pulls down in his lap giving me the remote.

"Anything you want to watch." He says. I turn it on scanning through the channels.

"What do you want to watch?" I asked.

"Whatever you want to watch." He says kissing my neck I blush.

"I don't know what to watch, you pick." I tell him.

"No. You pick it doesn't matter what it is." He says.

"Ok Alice and wonderland is on. That's ok?" I asked.

"Yes it's ok." He chuckles and I press select on the remote. "How was Tony?" He asked after a few minutes.

"He was nice I guess." I said.

"So you like him?" He asked.

"Yeah I like him. He's super sweet and likes to talk." I mumble. After I realized what I mentally face palm myself.

"Well..." He starts.

"I didn't mean like in that way. I mean as a friend." I cut him off with my explaining.

"I know Victoria." He says holding me tight. "As I was saying, well at least you have one person you're not afraid of." He says.

"I'm not afraid of you." I said.

"You aren't?" He asked.

"No. If I was I would have left while you were gone and be hiding somewhere right now." I answered him. He just chuckles in response. I am not afraid of my mate. I may be afraid of what my mate may do but not him in general. "Ajax." I said.

"Victoria." He says.

"When you find your sister would you keep killing packs?" I asked.

"I don't know." He answered. And I believed him. I'm pretty sure destroying packs has started to become a habit now. Plus I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to stop but because of me he will maybe try to stop. I lay back in his chest feeling tired. "Sleep." He says. I nod letting him know heard him and fall asleep in his arms.
