Tempting but Fragile Pt. 5

 "Why do you ask?" She smiled at me. 

"Well, beth...she asked me how long we've been...seeing each other? I don't know, I think she thought that maybe we were more than friends." I shrugged as I turned to look at her, leah's expression was serious now. 

"Oh yeah? How do you feel about that..." She asked.

"We're friends...right?" I got serious for a moment.

"Yeah, but how would you feel if we were more than friends?..." Leah looked into my eyes as she asked me that, I had sobered up pretty fucking quickly.

"You and...me? Like...us together?..." I sounded stupid but I was so lost.

"Yeah..." She breathed out. 

"I don't know..." I shrugged and looked down at my hands on my lap.

"Have you ever been with another girl?" She asked me. I slowly looked up from my hands, I stared into her eyes. It was night time already so it was obviously dark, but I could still see her eyes. I slowly shook my head from side to side. "Would you have a problem a problem with it?..." 

"No." I blurted out pretty quickly.

"What would you do if I said I liked you?" She kept going with the questions.

"You like...me?" I snorted slightly, I covered my mouth trying to stop myself from laughing. Leah nodded and looked away, I saw her hands pulling out her car keys. 

"We should probably have this conversation when you're sober..." She said while turning the car on. 

"I am- Leah I am sober. I just..." I shrugged. "This is coming out nowhere really..."

"I know, I'm sorry. It's not the place or time, I shouldn't have said anything." Leah said.

After she said that there was nothing but silence, only for a few seconds until I figured out what to say next. I didn't have a problem with people of the same gender dating each other, I think that's pretty clear. But I really wasn't expecting Leah to say all of this to me on a random Saturday night. 

Eve was right...

She was right.

"Leah?" I said her name.

"Yeah?" Leah was pulling out of the parking spot.

"I don't care about who you like...I don't care if it's a guy or girl- or whatever." I wanted to make that clear. "Personally I have never questioned my sexuality. And this is coming out of nowhere, I wasn't expecting it. What I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't...be mad if you liked me." I didn't know how to tell her this. "If i'm being honest, we've only known each other for a short amount of time and you've treated me better than any boy i've ever met." I said.

Leah had came to a stop, the car wasn't moving. She turned to me and smiled, it was pretty dark in the car but I'm almost certain she was blushing. 

"Do you mean that..." Leah asked.

"Yeah, I fucking do." I smiled and leaned back against the car seat.
