Tempting but Fragile Pt. 5

I already had a few drinks, I wasn't drunk though. Maybe a little tipsy, I wasn't a lightweight anyway. I could handle my liquor. Alessia and Chloe had been telling me stories about Leah at camp. Apparently every now and then, they met up and went to train somewhere. I got lost in the whole explaining process. 

But that wasn't the point, the point was that the girls were funny. They definitely seem like people i'd hang out with. And Leah seemed to have some stories herself that she didn't tell me. Funny stories. 

Apparently she can't ride a bike, according to Alessia.

"Alright, alright. I've done hearing you girls take the mick out of me, i'm gonna go use the restroom." Leah smiled at me before she stood up. I had been holding my laugh in almost the entire time she was there. But as soon as she left to the restroom I couldn't stop smiling with the girls. 

"So." Beth leaned forward. 

"So." I smiled at her.

"How long have you and Leah..." She raised her eyebrows as she asked.

My smile faded away pretty quickly, I looked at the rest of the girls for help but Alessia dn Chloe were in their own conversation. And Viv was on her phone. I looked back at Beth and shook my head. 

"We're not..." I said, I didn't exactly know how to answer. I didn't know exactly what she meant but I had an idea. And it wasn't like that, at all. 

"Oh- i'm sorry...really sorry- I just thought that..." Beth placed her drink down. "...I think that's enough for me." She said.

I laughed it off, I didn't want her to feel bad. I can see how it maybe seemed that way but it was nothing. "No, don't worry." I smiled. "We're just friends." I nodded.

"Of course, sorry again..." She smiled at me.

It was getting close to midnight, I hadn't texted Eve the entire night. I knew she was out with Cassie. I felt bad for ditching them to come and hang out with Leah but if I would've known they had something planned for tonight I wouldn't have accepted Leah's offer. 

"Okay, next time I'm not letting you drink that much." Leah said. 

We were in her car, we were just sitting there. My head pounding a little. "I'm usually not a lightweight..." I shook my head.

"Well, there wasn't anything light about that." Leah said.

"Sorry..." I turned to her and smiled.

"Don't be, at least you had fun. And you and beth seem like you guys liked each other." She said.

"Yeah, she's cool..." I leaned back against the car seat. "Hey, I have a question..." 

"Yeah?" Leah turned to look at me.

"What did you tell them about me...when you told them that I was coming." I turned to look at her.

"I told them I was inviting a friend along." Leah answered me within seconds.

"Oh..." I for some reason found that funny, I looked out the window as I laughed.
