The knock came at dawn.

Three quick raps on Levi's office door. Sharp. Measured.

Y/n was already sitting upright on the floor, the blanket folded neatly beside her. She hadn't slept. Neither had Levi, though he hadn't spoken a word since their last exchange. He just stood near the window, arms crossed, gaze far away.

When the knock came, he straightened and opened the door.

A Scout soldier stood there, eyes lowered slightly. "Commander Erwin is ready."

Levi nodded once.

No words.

Y/n stood slowly. She didn't ask where they were going. She already knew.

---

The hallway was empty. Cold.

Y/n walked a step behind Levi. Her arms remained close to her sides, her face neutral, but inside her mind raced with every possibility. Every question they might ask. Every memory that could rise before she was ready.

The door to Erwin's private study opened before she could brace herself.

The room was dimly lit, but awake-tense with quiet energy. Erwin stood behind his desk, a chair placed in front of it. Another chair off to the side, unoccupied.

Levi stepped in first. Y/n followed.

"Sit," Erwin said.

Not unkindly. But not gently either.

She did.

Then Erwin spoke, voice controlled. "Get Section Commander Hange. Commander Pixis. If the Premier's available, summon him too."

The soldier at the door stiffened. "Sir. Shall I-"

"Quietly. No records. Tell them it's confidential and urgent."

"Yes, sir."

He vanished.

Erwin remained standing. Levi leaned against the wall, arms folded.

For a moment, no one spoke.

The silence was heavier than before. It didn't buzz-it waited.

Erwin's voice cut through it like a blade.

"How far does your knowledge go?"

Y/n looked up, expression calm but distant. "Far."

"Define it."

She inhaled slowly. "I know the structure of this world. The systems. The way history has been rewritten. I know about the Titans. Where they come from. I know the names of those who haven't even appeared yet. I know things that haven't happened-"

Erwin's brow furrowed. "Haven't happened?"

"They're going to," she whispered. "If the story plays out the same."

He paced slightly, eyes sharp. "And this... story. Where does it come from?"

"I don't know. It's just... in me." She touched her temple lightly. "It's like I lived it already. But I never did."

"That makes no sense," Levi muttered from the wall.

Y/n didn't argue. "I know."

Erwin studied her. "Give me something verifiable. Something only I would know."

Y/n paused. Her fingers gripped the edge of her chair.

"When you were younger-before you joined the Scouts-you and Nile Dok were close. You used to argue about what freedom meant, even before either of you had a uniform."
