When Chan and Y/N finally arrived at the classroom, he politely knocked. A middle-aged man opened the door. His black hair was slicked back, he wore rectangular glasses, and a long green coat.

"Well, who do we have here?" he asked, sounding curious.

Chan gave a respectful bow, and Y/N quickly followed his lead. Once he stood upright again, he began to explain, "Good morning, Mr. Park. This is Y/N. She's new at our school starting today, and I took her to the principal's office. We're sorry for being late."

Mr. Park nodded understandingly. "Well, since you were needed elsewhere, Mr. Bang, that's not a problem. And for you, Ms. Y/N, it's all been accounted for. Come on in."

He held the door open, and the two of them stepped into the room. On the right side, the students already seated turned their heads to look at them, curiosity in their eyes. Y/N felt awkward under their stares.

Mr. Park walked back to the blackboard and gestured toward an empty table in the second-to-last row. They quickly made their way over and sat down. Y/N had just started to relax when Mr. Park addressed her again.

"Ms. Y/N?"

"Yes?" Y/N's voice was barely more than a whisper.

"Please stand up and introduce yourself to the class."

With shaky legs, she stood and glanced around nervously. "Hi, I'm Y/N and I come from—"

Before she could finish, Chan suddenly stood up as well. "She comes from far away," he said shortly, grabbed her hand, and gently pulled her back into her seat.

Mr. Park raised an eyebrow at the scene. "Now that it seems everyone knows Ms. Y/N, let's move on with our lesson." With that, he turned back to the board and continued his lecture on werewolves.

Y/N felt Chan release her hand and quietly whispered to him, "Why wasn't I supposed to say I'm from the human world?"

"Because a lot of people here don't like humans," he whispered back. "And Singsuk asked me to keep an eye on you."

Y/N's shoulders slumped in disappointment. "So, you only talked to me because Singsuk told you to?"

Chan turned to her, visibly annoyed. "Of course not. If I didn't want to talk to you, I wouldn't—no matter what Singsuk said. Were you scared or something?" he added, smirking.

"No!" Y/N could feel her cheeks turning red again. "Well... no," she muttered quietly.

Chan chuckled, and she felt relieved—it had just been a misunderstanding.

After class, Chan said goodbye, and Y/N joined a group of students heading to flight class. In the locker room, where they were supposed to change into black flight suits, she was relieved to run into Lian again. Lian seemed just as happy to see her.

Out on the training grounds, Y/N groaned as her eyes landed on a familiar figure. There he was again—the guy with neon-blue hair, surrounded by a bunch of girls.

"Do you know Felix?" Lian asked with a grin, having noticed where she was looking.

So his name is Felix, Y/N thought. "Um... yeah. I accidentally walked into the wrong hallway when I was looking for the bathroom—and ended up in his room. He was kind of arrogant. So I'm honestly surprised he's that popular."

Lian laughed. "No idea why. The girls are just obsessed with his bad-boy attitude."

She mimicked him dramatically, and Y/N couldn't help but laugh along.

Their flight instructor, Ms. Kim, was petite with short blonde hair and piercing ice-blue eyes.

"Students, today we're practicing flying—at the river, since there's more space there. Let's move!"

The class groaned quietly. Y/N turned to Lian. "Is it that bad?"

Lian pulled a face. "Yeah. Ms. Kim is strict. If you're not good at flying, you'll end up in the mud. For sure."

"Oh..." Y/N muttered. That wasn't exactly encouraging—especially since she had no idea how to fly.

At the riverbank, the other students immediately began to hover and take off. Y/N hesitated awkwardly. Luckily, Ms. Kim approached her.

"You need to picture the open world and push off from the ground. Think of yourself as light. It helps to feel emotions—think of something that makes you happy. Unless you'd rather stick your tongue down someone's throat—that works too."

Y/N's face flushed red. "T-Thanks."

Ms. Kim nodded and walked off, leaving her alone.

Y/N focused, trying to picture a peaceful memory—like standing on the beach with her parents, gazing at the endless ocean. She pushed off the ground—nothing. Tried again. Still nothing. She attempted it what felt like a thousand times. No luck.

Then, suddenly, laughter echoed above her.

Felix.

He looked down at her, grinning smugly. "Flying's not that hard. Unless you're completely useless, I guess."

Y/N's frustration boiled over. She stomped her foot—and suddenly launched into the air.

Startled, she hovered mid-air. She had done it! Grinning to herself, she turned to wave at Lian—only to wobble and start flailing wildly.

Felix smirked again.

Then she went even higher—and higher.

"Oh no..." she thought, right before screaming as she plummeted... directly toward Felix.

With a loud *splat*, they both landed in a thick patch of mud.

Y/N blinked open her eyes—and stared straight into Felix's furious face underneath hers. That's when she realized: she was lying on top of him... and their lips were touching.

Above them, Ms. Kim stood with arms crossed. "What did I say about emotions? But hey, everyone learns in their own way."

Could it *get* any more embarrassing?

Before she could even process what happened, the world around her faded to black.

Little Note 💌

Helooo, first off—sorry for the late chapter upload 😭. Today was super busy. I was cramming for my math finals (math is actually evil 💀), and I spent the afternoon at a friend's place making a Mother's Day gift 🎁.

Btw, did you get your moms anything? 👀💐

Alsooo idk why but I'm kinda obsessed with Chan at the moment??? Like—he's so good-looking wth. BUT DON'T WORRY, we're staying loyal to FELIX 😭 because the story is obviously about him. (Even if Chan's being suspiciously cute rn...)

I hope you liked this chapter! I'm honestly so excited to see what happens next between Felix and Y/N. Eeeeeek.

Anywayyy I always write way too much in these notes 😭

But now... smooch and scooch, I gotta go pooch 💋🤭
