The student store buzzed with quiet chatter, and the sound of coins dropping into the vending machines. It wasn't much—just a small booth near the courtyard—but it was the perfect place to grab a warm coffee or something sweet between classes.

Jun-tae handed over a few coins and took his drink. Beside him, Si-eun reached for his own, casually glancing at what Jun-tae was holding.

"Red bean bread?" Si-eun asked, voice low.

Jun-tae didn't answer right away. He moved to the fridge beside them and pulled out a pink carton of strawberry milk, holding both items in his hands.

Si-eun's eyes lingered. "Why?"

Jun-tae gave a small shrug, eyes on the carton. "I gave it to Aria yesterday. I don't know if she liked it, but... I thought maybe."

Si-eun didn't say anything. Just nodded once, eyes flicking away, and walked alongside him.

Outside, the afternoon sun was warm but not harsh, and the school grounds were quieter than usual. They followed the fimilar path past the gym and down the stairs toward the open courtyard that split the basketball courts from the soccer field.

And that's where they saw her.

Aria was sitting alone on one of the large layered stone benches, leaning back slightly with her legs loosely stretched out, the sleeves of her school jacket pushed up to her elbows. One hand rested on her lap while the other held her phone, music playing through her headphones. Her posture was casual, almost bored, like she was lost in her own world and didn't really mind being there.

Jun-tae perked up the moment he saw her.

"There she is," he said quietly, adjusting his glasses as he started toward her.

Si-eun followed, slower.

Aria noticed them approaching and tugged one AirPod out. Her gaze shifted lazily toward them, curious but calm.

Jun-tae stopped infront of her, hesitating just a second before holding out the drink and bread.

"Um...I wasn't sure if you liked these," he said, voice soft, eyes flicking down to the milk, "but...I got them again. Just in case."

She looked at him, then at the food, and gave a small nod.

Jun-tae passed them to her, his grip a little awkward.

Aria smiled faintly as she took them. "Thanks."

He sat beside her, the tips of his ears slightly pink, sipping his coffee like it was no big deal.

Si-eun stood for a moment, then sat on her other side, arms resting on his thighs, gaze steady on the feild.

"I've never been so at peace during lunch," Jun-tae murmured.

And just like that—

"Hey friends!" came a too loud voice, to fimilar.

Hyo-man.

They all turned slightly as he jogged toward them, waving like they were life long friends.

"Is this where you've been?" he said, breathless but grinning as he reached them. "I've been looking everywhere for you guys."

Aria rolled her eyes so hard she nearly saw the back of her head.
