Three years later.

Loona paces around the apartment, biting her nails. She's scared about what she's going to do. She needs someone to talk to but doesn't know who to turn to. Desperate, she dials Blitz's number a couple of times, but each time, she doesn't complete the call. Eventually, she gives up and lightly tosses her phone onto the couch.

"What am I gonna do?. Please...please don't let him be mad at me." She says to herself, "We're gonna be ok...we're...gonna be ok. He won't be mad..." She says that last part with uncertainty, tears stinging the back of her eyes. Whether for good or bad, everything was about to change when he gets home.

I walked up to the front door, fishing out my keys. I slipped them into the lock, opened the door, and closed it behind me. The gift for Loona bounces in my pocket.

"Baby, I'm home! oh, what a day but I have a surprise for you. " I put my keys in the bowl on the entryway table. After no response, I tried again.

"Loona, you home?". I say, making my way to the living room area. I found her in the living room. She's looking off into the distance, "Loona?".

She hears my voice and seems to snap out of whatever funk she was in.

"Hey honey," she says, smiling, coming over to me. She kisses me, hugging me tightly "Your home early." Her voice sounds cracked, broken even.

"Yeah, we finished the job early, we hit a Saudi prince and an underworld jeweler today, so we'll be sitting well for a while. The last client postponed till tomorrow, hey, I thought that since I'm off early, we can spend the day together if you want to. "

She takes my hands smiling at them. her expression turns sad, her face screws up a tear falling from her eye.

"Loona, what's wrong?.

"Please sit down. There's something we need to talk about." She takes me to the sofa where we sit down together. I almost sit on her phone, I pick it up, putting it on an end table she stares at her hands as if trying to tell me something.

"Loona, what's happened? You look sacred."

She puts her face in her hands, sniffling some tears fall between her fingers. I haven't seen her cry like this in a long time. Something had to have happened that's making her react like this. I reach out tentatively and put my hand on her thigh, squeezing in a reassuring way. She wipes her eyes and looks at me. She takes a deep breath.

"I don't know what to do," she says in between sobs.

"Look, whatever happened, you can tell me".

"I'm worried if I tell you I'll lose you," she says in between sobs.

"Loona what makes you say that?".
She looks at the ground ashamed.
"If you want to tell me, I'll listen, but if you need to keep this to yourself, I-"

"I couldn't keep this from you even if I wanted to." She looks to me with her blood red eyes like stained glass. "Please don't leave me, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, please don't leave. I can't lose you especially now please promise me". Her expression and voice desperate, her grip on me tight.

"Loona, look at the ring I put on your finger, I wouldn't have done that if I was going to leave you. I'm yours
Loona, tell me what's going on, but if it helps, I'm not going to leave you, I promise. "

She seems to believe me. She takes a deep breath, running her hands through her hair. She looks me in the eyes one more time than shifts her body around to face me.

"There's something I need to tell you, there's no easy way for me to tell you this, so I'm just gonna come out and say it...I'm pregnant."

My heart stops my mouth agape.
