*Dean's POV*

"Y/n, you're not going with us this time. It's too dangerous, and I can't risk anything. Please just stay here!" Y/n and I argued about this hunt for hours! I didn't know what we were exactly up against and I didn't want her going with us and getting hurt or worse! Of course knowing y/n, she wouldn't take no for an answer. "Dean, I do not need protection all the time! I can take care of my goddamn self" She huffed at me. I glanced over at Sam, giving him a look that he knew too well. We both grabbed her by her arms and carried her over to a chair and set her down. I held her down as Sam went and fetched some rope.

"Baby, look at me." I touched her cheek, she jerked her face away from my touch and let a tear slide down. "Y/n please, this is for your own good. Tonight is a big fight and I can not risk you going and getting yourself hurt, or even worse! Killed! I've already lost so much in my hell hole of a life and I couldn't bear to lose another that I love. Please, you have to understand!" My voice cracked and she starts silently crying. "Y/n, you're my weakness, but also my strength. And knowing that your out of harm's reach will boost my strength and will let me have victory. If you went with us tonight, that would weaken me because all I would be thinking about is your safety." She finally looks at me. "Y/n, I love you so freaking much! But you're staying here."

I kissed her forehead and grabbed my duffle bag, "Alright, Sam let's head out!"

*Your POV*

It's been a half hour of me contemplating about whether I should do as Dean says and stay put, or wiggle myself out of this rope and help them. And.... I've made my decision. Get out of this rope and  save their asses. I mean who knows, they could be tied up and about ready to be killed! I can't just stay here tied up while my boyfriend and his brother die! I start to wiggle myself, hopefully getting a quick escape. I pushed myself side to side, making myself tip over and break the chair, which relaxed the rope, making my hands free. I get untangled, run to my side of the Dean and I's bed, grab the knife that I keep under my bed (you never know), and race out the door.

Once outside I scan the parking lot, looking for the nearest car to snatch up. A 1977 Ford Bronco catches my eye. I hurry over, luckily the door is left unlocked. Ha! Idjits! I hop in the car and grab the two wires to hotwire the beauty. The first try didn't work. "Come on, you son of a bitch." I whispered to myself. After the third try, it turned over. "Aha, finally! I knew you'd come around!" I put it in reverse and whipped out of there. Don't worry Dean, help is on the way!

*Dean's POV*

My eyes slowly open, the lights were super bright, making me flinch my eyes shut and groan. As my eyes adjusted to the piercing light, I look around, trying to remember what had happened. I remember entering the warehouse with Sam and then BAM! Darkness! Footsteps came around the corner. "Oh good, you're awake!" He said as he leaned down to face me. "Where's my brother?!" I growled at him. He chuckled, "Oh, your brother is just fine. He's just taking a little nap." I tried to lunge forward, but he pushed me back. "Feisty young man, aren't you?" He chuckled again and I glared at him.

"What are you?" I asked. He stood up and walked away. "Hmm, what am I? That's a good question!" He turned around to face me. "Let's find out, shall we?" In a few seconds, his face ripped open and there was a big hole filled with multiple rows of teeth and a nasty, long, slithering tongue. Panic grew rapidly inside me, my breaths growing heavily. He then returned into his human form. "What am I? I am a Levithan, that's what I am!"

The sound of a door opening interrupted the scene and y/n came rushing in. 'Oh no! God dammit, she never listens to a word I say ever!' I thought I myself as I rolled my eyes. "Dean!" She called out, attempting to hurry over to me, but was stopped by the Levithan. "Well hello,  darling, what's your name?" He smirked and winked at her. "Piss off, you sick freak!" She growled at him. He just laughed in her face and then looked at me. "Looks like you brought me dinner!" I tried to wiggle myself free but it was too late. He morphed back into the nasty creature and took a big bite out of her neck. She screamed and fell to the ground and started bleeding out. The leviathan then transitioned back into its human form and took off.

A few seconds later, Cas appeared. "Cas, thank god! Please go to y/n, see if she's still alive." Cas smiled at me and walked to her. He checked her pulse and turned to me. "She's barely breathing." I sighed in slight relief. "Can you help me out?" He walked over and undid the rope. Once I was free, I sprinted over to her and held her. "Y/n, please stay with me, open your eyes! Please!" Y/n slowly opened her eyes and stared at me. "Dean." she barely whispered. "I'm so sorry-" I interrupted her with a shush, "Y/n, don't worry. You're going to be fine." I looked up to Cas, "Right?" He stood there and thought. "Honestly Dean. I have no idea. The grace that I hold is running low and I don't know if I can heal her fully. I can try, but I can't guarantee anything good." I tightly squeezed my eyes shut to stop me from shedding any tears. "Dean, I'm sorry. " She whispered again. "I know baby, I know." "I should've listened to you, but I didn't want to just not do anything. I wanted to be here. To do anything I could to keep you safe. If this was the other way around, I'd be the same way. I didn't want any of this to happen." She closed her eyes. "Y/n, no no. Please no!" She slowly opened her eyes again and stared at me. "I love you Dean Winchester and I always will." She said and smiled slightly. Then she closed her eyes and took her last breath. I started bursting out in tears. "NO! GOD NO!!"

* 1 year later*

"I'm sorry, but the person you are trying to reach is not available. If you'd like you can leave a message at the end of the beep, if not you can either hang up or press 1 for more options. *Beep*

"Hey Dean, Cas and I were wondering when we're going to see you again. I mean it's been a year. We miss you. It'd be great to hear from you! See you around buddy."

I stare at the machine and take another swig of whiskey. It's indeed been a year since y/n's been murdered and my life has been absolute hell. Sam and Bobby had found the Leviathan and killed it, before I took off. But I didn't have any justice. I still didn't have y/n. Ever since that day, I haven't been hunting since. I just took off, hoping I could get away, clear my head, and maybe have a new beginning. Needless to say, my "new beginning" wasn't exactly good. I'm drunk every night, every time I wake up there's always strange girls by my side, I only get 1 hour of sleep, maybe 2 if I'm lucky. Sleep just wasn't an option anymore. Every time I would close my eyes, all that came into view was y/n. First it starts with when I met her. Seeing her beautiful smile, her y/c/h blowing in the wind, her cute laugh, and then it would transition into that night. Blood. Her bright y/c/e's drowning into darkness. Her last words echoing throughout my brain. "I love you, Dean." It hurts. It really does. And I don't know if I could deal with this pain of not being with her any longer. I grabbed my car keys and walked out the hotel room.

*1 hour later*

I opened the door and slammed it shut. I dragged my weak body over to the bed and threw myself on it. I pulled a syringe out of my pocket. The syringe was filled with something that would help get rid of the pain. Heroine. I also pulled out a blue rubber band and wrapped it around my arm and kept it still by holding the band in between my teeth. I pushed the top off with my thumb and stuck it up to my arm. With a single tear sliding down my face, I silently apologize to everyone in my life and I apologize to y/n, for letting go. I stabbed the needle into an open vein and injected the liquid death into my bloodstream.

After it's done, I placed the needle on the nightstand and laid back; enjoying the buzz. I thought of being able to see y/n's smile again, it brought me peace as I started to drift away. A figure came into view in the corner of my room. It was a reaper. I already knew what was coming. I was hoping for a long time now that it was my time, but when I tried. I chickened out. But now that it is my time, I couldn't have been any happier.

The reaper placed his cold hand on my forehead and squeezed. Everything went black.
