Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: I was_ out.
Of course, the inspector and his assistant just remained ever suspicious about Ray's explanation as to where he was the prior night.
Inspector Thomas Thorne: Out?
Ray, however, had just wanted the inspectors to understand that the poor blond was technically embarrassed about his own alibi.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: Out.
Cruella, however, was more than willing to take advantage of Ray having been 'out' since it would have easily been well-suited to her alibi against being the guilty party.
Cruella 'Ella' DeVil/Estella von Hellman: I think we've established that this man was 'out'.
Having the suspicions he did against Ray, Inspector Thorne grabbed onto the blond and began escorting him out the door.
Inspector Thomas Thorne: Right. Let's discuss this down at the station.
That was when Kim took the time to intervene with what she knew for a fact the inspector had been all set to do with Ray.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: He was out_ with me.
As Kim had said about Ray's alibi that the chocolate brunette had been with the blond the entire time he had been out the previous night, Assistant Inspector Seville soon came out of having searched further for evidence against the dog shelter's owner.
Assistant Inspector Mariah Seville: Found this, sir. List of addresses. All the houses that have had dalmatians stolen.
Assistant Inspector Seville then handed the sheet of paper which held that list of addresses over to Inspector Thorne. Meanwhile, Cruella's own dog and cat spoke up about their opinions of the inspector team's clues from just about all around the 'Give a Dog Another Chance at a Home' dog shelter to one another in their own respective native tongues.
Carlisle: I wish we could just tell the police this is a classic set-up, but they wouldn't understand a word from out of our mouths, would they, Harriette?
Harriette: Indeed not, Carlisle. Still, you would think that since humans always label animals as idiots, these mediocre-at-best inspectors from Scotland Yard, themselves, could recognize evidence that's clearly been planted where they found it, anyway.
Then just to have made matters worse, even Kim started to feel suspicious of Ray as the dognapper of those dalmatians. The chocolate brunette even took a hold of the list of addresses from Inspector Thorne's hand to look it over. The blond tried to defend himself at least to the love of his life.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: Kim, you can't possibly believe them, can you? Ah, this is crazy! I'm being set up.
The timing of Ray and his dog shelter's reputation only grew a lot worse from there when Brad, who the blond had sent out to get a box of 'abandoned' puppies from the cold outside weather, walked into 'Give a Dog Another Chance at a Home' as the dark-haired man held onto said box of puppies.
Bradley 'Brad' Stevenson Cordileone: Here's the box of puppies you asked us to_
Brad finally noticed the inspectors from Scotland Yard when he arrived at the dog shelter, but the dark-haired man was too late to stop himself from saying anything. Brad recognized the inspectors, and sadly, they also recognized him in return. The dark-haired man tried to make a quick escape as he readied himself to walk back outside.
Bradley 'Brad' Stevenson Cordileone (continued): Whatever it is, I didn't do it.
Unfortunately for Brad, Assistant Inspector Seville grabbed onto his pleather jacket just as the dark-haired man tried to head back out the door. Ray knew that Brad had still not been able to get even a probation from Kim. The blond knew that he had to cover for his dark-haired employee, even at the expense of the right to his own protection from prison. He stood up to defend Brad in his stead from there forward.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: No. I sent Brad to pick up those. Th-there was a phone call, and, uh_
Having successfully defended Brad's cause for concern about the box of puppies he, himself, brought into the shelter, Ray and everyone else present failed miserably to hear the very next word that came from Cruella's lips.
Cruella 'Ella' DeVil/Estella von Hellman: Ooops.
While her own dog, Carlisle, and her own cat, Harriette, just sneered disgustedly at Cruella that time since their voices went unheard, Ray just chuckled at the thought of having been to blame for the dalmatian abductions from that prior night. Meanwhile, Kim was very shocked at who the kind of man her new boyfriend apparently was.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: This is crazy. Why would I steal dalmatians? Hmm? What possible motive could I have to want to_
Cruella suddenly felt the need to interrupt any further explanation from Ray before he could get the chance to convince the inspectors he was not guilty of the crime they clearly suspected him for.
Cruella 'Ella' DeVil/Estella von Hellman: The judge's order.
Everyone looked in Cruella's direction after having heard what she said. Spixington had been the only one to speak up about what Miss DeVil had said regarding the case of the stolen dalmatian puppies, though.
Spixington: What?
There was already evident salt in the wounds that was the possibility of Ray not being found guilty of dognapping dalmatian puppies from those homes. Cruella decided to rub even more salt into such wounds with her next words.
Cruella 'Ella' DeVil/Estella von Hellman: Oh, Raymond, how could you? All this for money?
Ray, himself, could barely believe that even the person who had helped him get out of his debt to his landlord had been willing to believe that he was a dognapper.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: What?
The blond just whispered it to Cruella when she said what she did about his dognapping record. That did not, however, leave Kim to have been very unsurprised about his dognapping record as Ray had hoped she would have been.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Just as you said at the restaurant.
By then, Ray had no choice but to accept the consequences that no one except himself knew were not even his to accept. The blond was definitely heartbroken at the revelation that not even Kim believed him. Inspector Thorne, however, was not willing to look at Ray's side of the story anyway. He and his partner, Assistant Inspector Seville, had only been wanting nothing more than to make their arrest on someone. At such a point in their shared investigation, anyone's arrest would have sufficed.
Inspector Thomas Thorne: Would somebody kindly acquaint me with the facts?
Of course, Cruella was more than willing to pin the blame for dognapping the dalmatians from their rightful homes on Ray, one way or the other.
Cruella 'Ella' DeVil/Estella von Hellman: If I'm caught stealing puppies, my entire fortune goes to him.
Miss DeVil then pretended to be shocked by that of which she let everyone present think she had been caught unaware as she gasped out a breath.
Cruella 'Ella' DeVil/Estella von Hellman (continued): Would that be a motive?
With that notion in mind, Kim and Ray just sent one another an expression of the same brand of heartbreak as the blond was then arrested.
