The bang from the heavy metal crunching rang through my ears as I felt the breath of air leave my lungs when a scream left my throat. A liquid of warm tears and blood trickled down my face from the impact to my head. My sobs and wails of pain echoed in the car while I sat in the middle seat beside my brother. His cries vibrated from his chest as the hurt sunk into him. Sleep pushed me back and fourth like the waves from the oceans. Pain surged through my body; it felt as if it was breaking bit by bit.

The wind blew through the door as it opened on my right side. A women's voice came through my ears but my eyes couldn't find her. My pleads for my stuffed animal in the bag beside me came from my lips but the plushy fabric never reached my small hand.

I cried for my mom and my dad but they weren't there. It was just me; I was nothing but alone in a scary time. The world once again faded around me and left me with sleep and dreams.

I felt the sewing needle stitch through my skin as I laid on a soft mattress and a hand on my right foot. My eyes tried to flutter open but something heavy felt like it was sitting against my skin. My throat felt dry as a desert as I tried to ask for something to drink.

"You drank all of the orange juice, there is no more for you, we will get you something else to drink soon," The man sewing up my forehead said softly.
