Nancy wasn’t used to surprises. Life in Madrid was what she liked to call a calm routine. Her parents, both successful businesspeople, were always away on work trips, so she handled everything on her own. Friends, parties, outings—those were just part of her daily life, but nothing ever really thrilled her. Until that night.

The club was packed, but Nancy wasn’t there for the music or the lights. She had gone simply to escape the loneliness of her big house for a while. Still, nothing she saw that night was what she expected.

That’s when she saw him. Leonardo.

He was sitting at a table off to the side, surrounded by people who looked just as important—and just as cold—as he did. Wearing a black leather jacket and staring straight ahead, he seemed like someone who couldn’t be distracted. And honestly, he didn’t need to be. His presence said it all. There was something about him that made the rest of the room fade away, even though Nancy tried not to look at him too much.

But it was impossible. His eyes, dark as the night, locked with hers. In that instant, something inside her shifted. It wasn’t just the way he looked; there was something about the way he looked at her that made her feel... different. Like he already knew her somehow. Like everything she’d lived up until that moment didn’t matter anymore.

Nancy quickly looked away, but he kept watching her, like he knew she wouldn’t be able to resist.

She wasn’t used to feeling like this. She wasn’t the kind of girl who got swept away by the first intriguing guy who showed up. But Leonardo wasn’t just any guy. There was something about him that drew her in, even though she knew she should keep her distance.

That night, Nancy’s life changed—and she had no idea how far that one encounter would take her.
