Aarav barely acknowledged Reyansh's presence beyond a polite nod. He was here for Reetwik, nothing else. The grandeur of the Thakur estate was irrelevant, the people in it even more so.
Reetwik, unaware of any tension, grinned. "Well, I'll leave you two to get acquainted while I check on the wedding arrangements. Aarav, your room is the one next to mine. Make yourself at home!"
And just like that, he was gone, leaving Aarav standing with Reyansh in an uncomfortable silence.
"You don't talk much, do you?" Reyansh finally said, studying Aarav with an unreadable expression.
Aarav exhaled, already disinterested. "I don't entertain unnecessary conversations."
Reyansh's lips twitched slightly, as if amused. "Efficient."
Aarav didn't bother responding. Instead, he adjusted his sleeves and turned away, ready to move toward his assigned room.
"You're different from what I expected," Reyansh continued.
Aarav didn't pause. "I get that a lot."
Reyansh raised a brow at his dismissiveness but said nothing. He watched as Aarav walked away, disappearing into the corridor without a backward glance.
Aarav had bigger things to focus on. Reyansh Thakur wasn't one of them.
To be continued....
