I told Kate how, later, I found out that she was the one who had plotted to kill my sister. She had departed and remained absent for around six months, returned for a month, and then went again.

"And during the course of more than six months, none of that occurred without you receiving any indication as to the nature of your neighbour."

"I apologise, but she showed no signs of suspicion."

"That's what you should say, of course,"

"Well, tell me where I can locate that bitch."

"I honestly don't know, but I'm certain we can locate her."

"How long ago did you last talk to her?"

"On the day the sister passed away, she called me."

"A week ago?"

"Indeed, it is the number that she used to call me—in actuality, she didn't call me. One of the people who had come to assault your sister' had a phone, so I recognised his voice. It was my filthy neighbour, who had tried to be kind to me some time ago, when I picked it up from his pockets.

"This is the procedure we'll follow; you must call and indicate your desire to go in."

"And once I arrive?" I asked.

"You won't need to travel there," she remarked.

"I have no doubt that your girlfriend is the one who is closer, so as soon as they find out you are here, they will send her after you."

"She isn't my girlfriend."

"I don't know much about you or my sister, but I'm positive that she thought well of you."

"So, when does she show up?"

"Everything will have to be left up to me."

Kate remarked that we had created the trap for ourselves and used ourselves as bait when I told her what they had informed me when I had called in.

Therefore, it was up to the hunter to either take the bait or use the bait to track out the hunter.

Naturally, two days later, everything went according to plan. Jenny arranged for a team to be sent to Germany since, at first, I thought that she was still in France. Sincerely, I had no idea where she was at the time. Someone contacted me at that same number to come pick me up from Germany. We assumed, of course, that they were tracking the call, so we followed up on that as well.

We were only a little distance away from the present site of the call. We must have been astonished since, at the time of that call, we had no idea that anybody would be following us.

Kate said, "We need to move fast and precisely because that was really close."

I responded, "So how are you going to do this?"

She replied, "We are doing this my way."

"Jenny is my problem, not your problem," I replied.

"After she killed my sister, she became my problem," Kate remarked.

"But after you killed my friend, you became my problem too."

"No worries, no problem. You can deal with me later, once we've resolved this, but for now, we have an adversary in common."

'Well, let's get started."

We left to depart. We hadn't brought a lot of stuff with us to the location where the call had been traced. Kate informed me that she didn't require any tools to murder the person who had senselessly slain her sister.
