The room was silent, a nerve biting tension filling throughout. The Commissioner stared at them, his expressions too neutral to be understood. Finally, a smile broke through his hardened features, his eyes lighting up.

"And who better to make Lucknow understand than the two adored super cops, Ms. Malik and KS..."

Haseena and KS stared at him, stunned and dumbfounded as he casually shrugged them with a polite laugh.

"There's no need to be so surprised. The department is proud to have officers like you..."

"Haan Ms. Malik and KS...you both carried the pride of the department in your hands. It is because of you that we as officers can hold our heads high..."

Haseena and KS nodded as they saluted their seniors and left, their hearts skipping a beat.

The sound of trumpets and the distinct beating of drums marked the cacophony of Haseena and KS's arrival. They stepped down from the jeep, immediately welcomed by a string of people including their own team. They watched as a red carpet rolled down in the middle, the ceremonious beats increasing with each beat.

They walked down, their bemused faces filled with happiness as media personnel rushed to capture the event. Near the entrance, Puspha Ji and CC saluted their seniors, the expression of pride and happiness lingering over their faces. KS quieted the crowd as Haseena approached the podium, looking over at the gathered people.

"The MPT has always been here, to serve people, whether it's day or night...." She said, her eyes scanning the crowd. "And today, we've once again proved that the law is above everyone. No matter the consequences, no one has the right to manipulate the law for their own betterment. The law, the rules and regulations exist to help people. Not to be manipulated and not to be exercised on behalf of a certain ideology or a certain gang...." She paused again, the deafening applause almost stunning her.

"I request all of you to bring your problems to us without any hesitation or fear because..." she paused as she gestured at her team who silently joined her next to the podium, all of them speaking in unison "The MPT is always ready to serve you."

The crowd stood as one, clapping and whistling as the officers on stage saluted their city, each officer reminded of their oath, of their vow and their uniform as they glanced at the crowd in front of them.

The celebration moved inside with Puspha Ji hovering around boxes of sweets as CC and Billu stood to a side munching pakoras.

"Madam Sir, you've once again proved what an indispensable leader you are. You achieved the impossible..." Puspha Ji said as she fed a small piece of sweet to Haseena.

"Puspha Ji, this was a team effort..."

"Haan Pushpa Ji..." KS interrupted. "I was the one who took the great risk...I infiltrated the gang from inside..." she spoke, flaunting herself.

"What risk?" Pushpa Ji asked. "Both you and Shivani speak the same language...."

"Aarey Puspha Ji can't you just appreciate anything that I do?"

"Why not when you do something worthy of appreciation...."

Haseena closed her eyes, silently laughing at the bickering duo of saas-bahu. She stepped towards them a she separated them from each other.

"Aarey, stop fighting even today..." she said, feigning an exasperated voice. "Puspha Ji, like I said this was a team effort and to be honest..." she said, turning around to face KS "This wouldn't be possible without KS...I'm proud of you KS...."

She took a piece of sweet from a nearby tray as she gently fed KS.

"By the way KS, I think you've learned to embrace my ideology of emotions..." Haseena said, arching her eyebrows. "You formulated the entire plan to gain Shivani's trust and to destroy their gang without barging in and beating them all..."

KS stared at her, a bemused expression written all over her face. She desperately tried to hide it but she knew that her Madam Sir would recognize her. Deep down, KS was proud and happy that she had not only completed her duty but that she kept her promise...

"Madam Sir, I made a promise to you....and I never intend to break it..."

Haseena smiled stepping forwards near KS as she bent down. "KS, you should just accept that you were emotional or else I'll tell Puspha Ji about how you have Shivani saved as darling..."

As haseena stepped back, KS's face flushed, a deep red spreading throughout her cheek. The gang stood nearby bemused at the change of expressions in KS.

"Madam Sir app bhi....." she said, shaking her head as she quickly left before her friend could find more ways to tease her.

"Aarey KS..." Haseena shouted running after her. "You won't celebrate with us?" she asked, dragging her back to the hall as they chatted and laughed over food and drink.

As the evening winded down, Haseena stole a moment alone with KS.

"KS when are you are going to take me out for Kulfi?" she asked as she picked her cap, ready to head out.

"Kulfi..?" Ks asked, clearly surprised.

"Haan why you will only have kulfi with Shivani?"

"Aarey yaar Madam Sir... stop it now..."

"I will but only if you buy me kulfi..."

KS nodded as the two friends left, the unspoken emotions lingering between them. Today wasn't just a battle. It was a war which they'd won.
