Before he knew it, Friday was here.

Fahad had been buried in work all morning, going through reports, responding to emails, and taking calls without a break.

It wasn't until he glanced at the time 12:00 PM that he realized how quickly the hours had passed.

Shutting his laptop, he leaned back in his chair for a moment before pushing himself up. Jumu'ah was in less than an hour. He needed to get ready.

Once home, he went straight to his room, freshening up with a quick shower before changing into a crisp white kaftan.

He adjusted his wristwatch, applied a touch of oud, and grabbed his phone before heading out.

As he made his way downstairs, his phone buzzed with an incoming call from Mukhtar.

"Assalamu alaikum maza yane ," Fahad answered.

"Wa alaikumussalam kalau," Mukhtar's voice came through. "You on your way?"

"Yeah, just about to leave. You?"

"We're all coming today," Mukhtar said, amusement lacing his tone. "Abbi insisted the entire family attend Jumu'ah together this week."

Fahad huffed a quiet laugh. That sounded just like Abbi. He was particular about things like this family presence, discipline, and tradition.

"Good," Fahad simply said, already stepping out the door.

Before stepping out, Fahad made his way to the living room, where Hajiya Khaltoum and Nuwaira were seated, overseeing the household preparations.

Hajiya Khaltoum was instructing one of the maids about the dishes for the afternoon meal, while Nuwaira scrolled through her phone, occasionally giving input.

He walked over to his mother first, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. She looked up at him with a warm smile, resting a gentle hand on his arm.

"Allah ya tsare," she murmured.

"Ameen, Amma," he responded before turning to Nuwaira.

As he Readjusted his wristwatch, preparing to leave, Nuwaira suddenly got up and wrapped her arms around his waist in a quick hug.

"Sai ka dawo," she said softly.

A small smile tugged at his lips as he gave her a brief squeeze before letting go. "Thank you, little one."

"Drive safely," she murmured.

"In shaa Allah," he replied before stepping back.

With one last glance at them, he strode towards the door. Moments later, he was in his car, heading to the masjid, his mind already shifting to the serenity of Jumu'ah prayers.

After the prayers, Mukhtar and the other men went over to greet Abbi, who was already seated in the car. They exchanged brief pleasantries before stepping back as Ammi joined him.

Adil checked his phone and exhaled. "I have to head back to the office. Something urgent came up."

Abbi nodded. "Alright, drive safe." Then he turned to Fahad. "Fahad let baby and fatima tag along with you. They're spending the day with your mother and Nuwaira."

Ammi smiled as she settled into the car. "Your father and I are going on a date."

Fatima gasped dramatically. "Awwn, lovebirds."

Abbi shook his head with a small chuckle before rolling up the window.

Mukhtar turned to Fatima. "Fati, you and Baby are going with Fahad."
