Haseena had taken her decision but would she be able to live with it?

KS parked her bike at an abandoned destination, nearing the end of jagged cliff. She stepped down and walked towards the cliff, the keys piercing the skin of her palm. She stared at the abyss stretching below her, her mind uncurling of uncomfortable emotions.

Madam Sir had left. Shouldn't she be happy? After all, she was the only barrier that stood between KS and her promotion. Yet, why was she feeling restless? She ransacked her brain for answers, as her yells split the earth in halves. She sat at the edge, her legs dangling off the cliff as she closed her eyes to compose her breathing. Their confrontations had escalated. Ks knew that either she or madam sir would be leaving eventually. It was impossible for them to work together as a team, she recalled Haseena's words.

Yet, was it so? A question burned deep in her heart, her mind unfolding the memories. Despite their clashes, Haseena and KS had been an inseparable and unstoppable duo. She chuckled, a dry laughter escaping her lips as she remembered how they tackled Ajay's goons and how they dressed up as old women to bring justice to an old mother. She yelled again, her fist colliding with the rocky surface. Her skin broke, blood oozing out as she absent mindedly punched the rocks, their sharp edges cutting her skin.

After a while, she stood massaging her temples as she wrapped a cloth around her knuckles. She started the ignition, gracefully adorning the bike, her mind still zooming in uncertainty. As she sped through the streets, she prompted her mind for answers.

Maybe it is for the best, she concluded accelerating her speed ignoring the lingering questions in her mind.

Mishri Pandey stepped inside MPT, the three silver stars shining in her uniform. She glance around, the gloomy mood of the station disrupting her joviality. She saw the members, slumped around in their chairs. They looked dead than alive. She walked near them as she loudly cleared her throat.

SS raised her hand, her eyebrows arching questioningly. She stared at her, her eyes blurred with the rush of tears.

"Who are you?" she asked, her voice coarse than usual.

Mishri stared at her, her eyes reddening as she registered the disrespect. She bit her lips hard, her glare increasing with each step she took. She glanced at her name badge, her breath huffing out.

"SS" she yelled, her voice reverberating off the walls. "It would be better for you to address your senior with respect."

SS stood, a hollow laugh in her chest as she and the others straightened to salute their senior. They immediately sensed the air of hostility and indifference, the lack of warmth between Haseena and Mishri.

KS rushed towards the MPT, hasting to report before the new SHO. She saluted, lifting her stiffened limbs as she glanced at Mishri.

Her eyes spoke of no warmth. She had no recognition in her eyes. KS immediately retracted her eyes, unable to bear the intense gaze of her senior.

"SI KS, I will not tolerate insubordination. You will report to the station on time."

Outside the members gathered in front of Badhnam's stall, their hearts weeping in silence. They stared at the cabin now occupied by Mishri, feeling the missing warmth of Haseena. Puspha Ji glanced at KS, her eyes reddening in anger.

"This is all because of you..." she yelled, her voice raising in anger.

KS broke out of her thoughts, staring at Pushpa Ji with widened eyes.
