Chapter Twenty Four

Start from the beginning

"Daughter of light?" my mother's voice whispered

"Princess of darkness?" the Devil King's voice echoed

Then, in perfect unison, they asked "Which one will you become?"

A surge of energy exploded from both figures, rushing toward me. I barely had time to raise my arms before the light and darkness crashed into me, ripping through my body like fire and ice

I screamed

It was tearing me apart

Light burned through my veins, scorching away every dark piece of me. At the same time, shadows wrapped around my soul, trying to consume every trace of Celestial energy

I was breaking

But no... I can't...

I clenched my teeth, forcing my feet to stay planted. I couldn't let this destroy me. I wouldn't let them decide for me

With every ounce of strength, I forced the two opposing forces together

Light and darkness

Celestial and Devil

They weren't meant to coexist

But I wasn't just one or the other

I was both

With a cry, I pulled the raging energies into myself, refusing to let one overpower the other. They raged, fought, screamed within me. But I held on

And then... Stillness

The pain faded. The fire and ice merged into something new. A warmth that wasn't suffocating... A darkness that wasn't consuming

I opened my eyes

A golden glow radiated from my hands, intertwined with tendrils of black mist. The chamber pulsed with power... my power

I had done it

I had awakened

The illusion of my mother smiled softly

"You have chosen your own path, my love"

And then, just like that, the trial faded

I gasped as I was pulled back into the throne room, my body collapsing to the floor. My skin still burned, my heart still pounded, but... I felt different... Stronger

I looked up. The Celestial King stared at me, his expression unreadable

But when he finally spoke, his voice was filled with something I hadn't expected... Pride

"You truly are your mother's daughter"

The days that followed were unlike anything I had ever experienced

Training in the Celestial Realm was nothing like the battles I had fought in the Devil World. There, I had relied on brute strength, on the shadows that obeyed my every command, on instincts sharpened by survival. But here... power was something different

Here, power was control

Day One

I stood at the edge of a floating platform, high above the endless sky. Golden rings of energy surrounded me, pulsing in time with my heartbeat. Across from me, an elder Celestial warrior, Master Elias, watched with his glowing white eyes, his expression unreadable

"Your Devil energy obeys emotion" he said, his voice smooth but firm "It is fueled by rage, by pain, by chaos. That is why it is strong. But your Celestial power... it is different"
