Chapter Twenty Four

Start from the beginning

And the air, it was alive

I could feel the energy, pure and untainted. It wrapped around me, seeped into my skin, made my soul ache in a way I couldn't describe. It was as if every dark part of me, every piece of the Devil World still clinging to my being was burning

I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself

And then I felt them

The stares

Celestial beings, hundreds of them watched me from a distance. Some whispered behind their hands, others simply stared, their glowing white eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and wariness

I stood out too much

Their world was light... and I was darkness

Even though my mother had been one of them, I was still tainted with the Devil's energy. The contrast between us was too stark, my flowing black gown, the weight of my demon energy clashing against the purity of this realm

And yet, I forced myself to keep walking

Because I had come here for one reason... To see the Celestial King

Every step I took echoed through the grand halls of the Celestial Palace. The golden bridges had led me to an entrance so vast, so otherworldly, that for a moment, I hesitated

Massive crystal pillars rose into the endless silver sky, glowing with an inner light, illuminating the palace in a way that made it feel like the very heart of the heavens. A vast staircase led up to towering doors of celestial gold, engraved with ancient markings that seemed to shift under my gaze, as if whispering forgotten truths

Guards stood at attention, their expressions unreadable, but they did not stop me. They didn't need to

The weight of their stares, of everyone's stares, was enough

As the doors slowly parted before me, an overwhelming force wrapped around my body, pressing against my chest, my very soul

A presence so vast, so ancient, it made the Devil King's aura feel almost... mortal

I gritted my teeth and stepped forward

The throne room was a world of its own

A space so immaculate that darkness itself dared not to touch it. The walls were lined with floating orbs of light, each one pulsing like a living star

The floor, made of translucent glass, reflected the celestial constellations beneath my feet, as though I were walking on the fabric of the universe itself

And at the end of the long, gilded path, sat him

The Celestial King

His throne was unlike anything I had ever seen, carved from pure light, shifting between solid and ethereal. His silver hair cascaded over his shoulders like strands of stardust, his glowing white eyes unreadable

But what struck me most was not his overwhelming presence

It was the way he looked at me

Not with anger. Not with disgust. But with understanding

And something else... Recognition

"You have arrived at last, my granddaughter"

The words pierced through me

I felt my breath hitch, my fingers curling into the fabric of my gown

"Granddaughter?" I repeated, my voice barely above a whisper
