Y/N's POV
I tried so hard to sleep but I still couldn't. 'Why Jungkook? Why?' I groaned in my mind.
'Why do you have to come back now?' I let out a long sigh. 'Why do you have to be here? Why can't you be someplace else instead?' I questioned more.
I've been tossing and turning for too long already. I gave up and sat up. I ruffled my hair roughly as my mind was getting crowded by the thoughts of the past.
I grabbed my pillow and my blanket, and made my way out of my room.
I slowly opened the door of the bedroom next to mine. I tiptoed inside, trying not to make any noise. I got myself comfortable on the carpet in between Jaesung and Jieun's beds.
I was really close to dozing off but that's when I heard some noises coming from outside of the room. I knitted my eyebrows as I slowly stood up. The sound was very faint, so I'd assume it was coming from the living room area.
I walked towards the door and opened it slightly so that I could listen better and figure out what the noises were. I heard ruffling sound of plastics and cabinets being opened and closed.
My frown deepened seeing that the lights were switched on too, so I slowly walked out of the room to see what was going on.
Jin's POV
I was putting away the groceries in y/n's kitchen when suddenly I felt like there was somebody watching me.
I turned around and jumped while letting out a scream due to the surprise. However, I was immediately shushed with a hand covering my mouth.
"Stop screaming! The kids are asleep," y/n said in an angry whisper.
"Yah! I swear I could've died just now!" I exclaimed but also in a whisper while rubbing my chest, trying to decrease my heartbeat rate. Y/n was now glaring at me.
Y/N's POV
"Jin, I've told you not to buy the groceries," I said while crossing my arms, still glowering at him. But we've been through this argument for too many times already so he just ignored me completely, as how he would do every other time.
Pretending as if I was invisible, he continued organizing the items. My shoulders dropped as I breathed out and started helping him by putting away the things.
"Thank you, Jin," I said to him and he suddenly turned to me with a smile. "See?! It's not that hard to just accept and say thank you," he smiled cheekily.
I sighed out loud in defeat which made him let out an airy chuckle. moonwritesfics
"So... I have tea," Jin suddenly said, which made my head snap towards him. His hands were still busy placing some cans inside one of the cabinets. I suddenly felt my heart clenched. I couldn't even say anything as a response.
Obviously I was nervous because I know for sure what's coming out of Jin's mouth will be related to his brother. Jin shifted his eyes towards me and he saw that I was already looking at him intently.
"Well, anyway..." he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. Maybe he was trying to shake off the tension in the atmosphere.
"Jungkook now knows that the twins are yours," Jin confessed, which made my jaw drop.
"What? How? Did you tell him?" I bombarded him with questions. "Yeah," he answered bluntly. "What?!" I exclaimed and this time, he shushed me.
"Of course I didn't!" He yelled in a quieter voice. "If I wanted to tell him, I would've done it even before you got divorced," he scoffed and rolled his eyes at me. I started to walk away and Jin trailed along.
