Yeonjun, the trusted counselor at Camp Evergreen, always found solace in the quiet moments of the forest. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows between the trees, he set off for his usual evening walk. The camp was quiet, the campers tucked away in their cabins for the night, and the only sounds were the chirping of crickets and the rustling of leaves underfoot.
But tonight, something felt different. The air was heavier, charged with an unsettling energy. Yeonjun brushed it off, attributing it to the loneliness that often settled over the camp after hours. Yet, as he ventured deeper into the woods, he felt eyes on him. A chill crawled up his spine. He stopped, scanning the dimming forest for movement.
And then, from between the trees, a figure appeared. Tall and unnervingly still, his eyes glimmered with an intensity that sent a shiver down Yeonjun's neck. The stranger's pale complexion contrasted sharply with the shadows, and a strange pull lingered in the air around him.
"Are you lost?" Yeonjun asked, his voice calm, though his heart raced.
The figure blinked, his expression uncertain, as if trying to process the words. He stepped closer, his lips slightly parted, unsure how to respond. "L...lost?" Beomgyu's voice was hesitant, his accent thick, his words halting. "Not... lost. I... walk." His English was broken, and there was a strange, almost ethereal quality to his tone that made Yeonjun's pulse quicken.
Yeonjun raised an eyebrow, noticing the stranger's eyes, which seemed to speak more than his words ever could. "Okay, well... do you need help finding something?"
The stranger shook his head slowly, taking another step forward, his gaze never leaving Yeonjun. "Not... help. I... find."
Yeonjun frowned, trying to understand the meaning behind the strange man's cryptic words. The unease that had settled in his chest grew stronger. "Alright, well... I'm Yeonjun. I work here. I should probably get you back to the camp."
The stranger's eyes flickered with something unreadable. "I... Yeonjun?" he repeated, as though trying to understand the name. "I... Beomgyu."
Beomgyu's voice was barely above a whisper, but his eyes locked onto Yeonjun with an intensity that was almost magnetic.
Yeonjun, though confused, felt an inexplicable pull toward Beomgyu. "Well, Beomgyu... looks like we're walking together now."
Little did Yeonjun know, this simple walk in the woods would soon lead them down a path neither could have predicted.

Yeonjun hesitated for a moment, glancing at Beomgyu. Something about the stranger-his strange behavior, his unnerving quietness-kept him on edge. But the pull he felt was undeniable. He couldn't leave the guy out here alone, especially in the dark forest.
"Come on," Yeonjun said, turning and gesturing for Beomgyu to follow. "I'll take you to the staff cabin. You can rest there for a bit."
Beomgyu didn't argue, stepping forward with a silent nod, though his eyes lingered nervously on the forest around them. Yeonjun led the way, trying to be casual, though his mind raced with questions. Who was this guy? Why was he so... different?
As they walked, Yeonjun kept the conversation light, asking Beomgyu more about himself, but the stranger's broken English made it hard to get a sense of who he truly was. Yeonjun almost didn't mind-he was more focused on getting to the cabin without anyone noticing. It wasn't that he thought he was doing something wrong... but something told him that Beomgyu was no ordinary person.
When they finally reached the staff cabin, Yeonjun quietly opened the door, glancing around before ushering Beomgyu inside. He flicked the light on and locked the door behind them. "Okay, you're safe here," he said, his voice reassuring despite the tension still lingering in the air.
