The spotlight burned brightly as Yeonjun stood center stage, the roar of the crowd fading into a distant hum. Among the sea of faces, there was one he hadn’t seen in years—one that made his heart skip a beat. Beomgyu.

It wasn’t the first time they’d crossed paths. The past had a funny way of bringing them back to each other, time after time, like a never-ending loop. But this time, it felt different.

They weren’t trainees anymore, struggling to chase the same dream. They weren’t just friends caught in the whirlwind of debut stress. They were strangers now—or at least, that’s what Yeonjun told himself.

But as Beomgyu’s gaze met his, those walls of time and distance began to crumble. And for the first time in years, Yeonjun wondered if he could let himself fall again.

Beomgyu, 23 years old, a pretty guy who has a wolfcut and is usually quiet, Yeonjun, the handsome one who's quite dramatic who has anger issues.

Yeonjun messaged beomgyu if he wanted to go to the cafe nearby their company to remember the old days during their debut. "Hey, gyu! Wanna meet up at the cafe that's still open ever since our debut?" Yeonjun messaged, beomgyu replied with a thumbs up emoji because he felt lazy to type. "What's with the thumbs up only? Dry ass." Yeonjun sent the voice message, beomgyu sent a voice message back that said "I'm too lazy to type TT" he said in a hint tone.

Yeonjun laughed. 30 minutes pass by and yeonjun had arrived at beomgyu's apartment. He knocked on beomgyu's door and beomgyu answered. Yeonjun hugged him tightly, saying, "i miss you." And beomgyu smugged at him.

Beomgyu stepped back to let Yeonjun inside, his smirk still lingering as he leaned against the doorframe. “You came all the way here just to tell me you missed me? Dramatic as always,” Beomgyu teased, crossing his arms.

Yeonjun rolled his eyes, plopping down on the couch without hesitation. “Don’t flatter yourself. I was in the area, and the thought of seeing your lazy face seemed less boring than going home.”

Beomgyu chuckled softly, closing the door behind him. “Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night, Jun.”

For a moment, silence filled the room, save for the faint hum of the heater. It wasn’t awkward, though—it was the kind of silence that came with knowing someone for years.

“So,” Beomgyu began, flopping onto the armchair across from Yeonjun, “why the nostalgia trip? You don’t usually ask to hang out unless something’s on your mind.”
