Dana:
After the game, we all head back down the stairs, once was so loud, now so quiet. Everyone seemed to change after Mingle, when we first got here, everyone was curious and speaking constantly, but now it's quiet, nothing but footsteps are heard.
As we entered the room, I walked quietly, holding my wrist as it ached so bad that I actually wanted to die.
As we sat down on the stairs on the beds, I rip off a piece of my shirt and wrap it around my wrist, I didn't know how that was going to work but I'll make it work somehow.
At least I won't be able to move it that much. Hopefully.
Seo-yeon rested her head on my back as Jung-bae runs towards us.
"Guys! There's still 55 O's here." He says, he did a headcount on how many people voted O or X.
Gi-hun stood up. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I counted twice." Jung-bae assures.
"What about you?" Dae-ho joined in, pointing to the blue patch on Jung-bae's chest. "Did you count yourself?"
Jung-bae looks down at himself and paused, looking back up. "Then there are 56."
"Ah, shit!" Seo-yeon says a little too loud.
I could see Dae-ho doing so kind of math in his head. "56 minus 44... that's 12 more."
"That's gonna be hard to win the next vote." I say, resting my arms on my knees.
"It may sound like a lot," Young-il starts, I close my eyes, opening them to look at him. "But if six of them change their minds, it'll be 50/50. If we somehow get seven, we might even win."
"Yeah but some X's might change their minds and vote 'O' now." Dae-ho says.
"I'm betting they won't change sides if they pressed X last time," Young-il says.
"Why is that?" Dae-ho asked, raising an eyebrow.
"When they voted to leave, they were fine with less money. Now the share of the money is higher than last time. It wouldn't make sense for them to risk their lives for another game."
"So, we need to convince the O's to switch?" I ask, they all turn to me.
"No. It's too dangerous since the people on that side will continue the games no matter what. If we try to force them, things might get violent." Young-il tells me, I try not to look him in the eye.
The alarm buzzed and the guards come in.
"You have made it through another game in the series. Congratulations. Let's announce the results." The guard pressed a button and the piggybank starts to fill up with more cash added.
$356 million...
"We will cast a vote from highest to lowest. Player 456."
I look at Gi-hun as he walked up to the machine and immediately pressed X. The vote goes on and it's my turn.
I walk up to the voting machine, glaring at the guards before pressing X.
