I sat in Minerva's room, it was now late at night, and neither of us could seem to say anything, but having each other in the same place right now was all we both needed.

I drank some coffee, as she drank tea. A small fire was in her fireplace, as the only sound in the room was the sound of the crackling of the pieces of wood.

We sat there in silence, as every so often, one of us would sniffle.

I felt my eyes getting heavier as my head started to get dizzy. It didn't feel like I was tired, but something was right.

I took in a sharp breath as I sat up straighter, trying to not be as dizzy. I blinked a few times, trying to focus my vision as it was blurry and it felt like the room was spinning.

Minerva noticed as she slowly got up and came grab my hand, and she spoke, but it sounded like mumbles to me, as my vision started to clear, and my lower stomach had a sharp pain and I winched harshly and curled over to try to help the pain, but nothing helped. Minerva was now holding my shoulder and looking at me worriedly.

"You need to see Pomfrey." She said wide eyed, and for once, I agreed. Something wasn't right.

** Severus POV **
We apparated to the Malfoy manor, and every movement. Every word. Every action I did, felt like an out of body experience. Like I was watching myself move around, but I couldn't control anything. Nothing felt real.

Everything that happened on the astronomy tower.

Y/N stepping out in front of Dumbledore, and my life flashed before my eyes. I thought I killed her. And also Albus.

But she breathed. I stood frozen unable to move, as I realized that the curse went completely through her, straight to Albus.

It was difficult enough that Albus told me I had to be the one to kill him, but even more difficult to see the eyes of my wife, like she didn't recognize me.

I sat in at the table, as evil cackling and smiled filled the room for their victory. I had people tap me on the shoulder, giving me a smile.

I stared at the table, unable to move.

Albus Dumbledore is dead.

And Y/N could easily be just as dead.

So how is she not?

Voldemort entered and the room went silent, but then his large smile appeared on his face as he turned to look at me, and his smile turned into a smirk, as he lifted his chin, looking down to me.

"Severus. You have proved yourself more than ever before. Well, done." He said with is breathy whispering, that sent chills down my spine.

I knew he trusted me completely now, which was the goal. Even though I thought of any and every other possible way for us to accomplish this, but Albus showed me how this was the only way.

The look Y/N gave me will be engraved into my mind for the rest of my life.

Will be ever trust me again?

Will she understand?

Will she still be mine?

As the death eaters filed out, I got up and left without being seen and apparated to my old home in Spinners End.

As I opened the door, I was greeted with a lifeless home.

No color.

No smell good candles.

No coffee mugs on the table and in the sink.

No Y/N.

But there was still the piano that never left that spot in the home. I felt my heart sink at the sight of it, remembering all the times I became mesmerized by her playing. How effortlessly stunning she is when she plays.
