Astrid stood and walked out of the Apollo cabin. Her legs were shaking and weak. Fez stood beside her and helped her. Astrid's wings drooped. They walked to her cabin and went inside. It looked exactly the way she left it. Astrid got out of her charred and smelly clothes. She had a shower. Astrid took one of her camp tshirt a and cut it so it came down just above the end of her rib cage. The fabric caught her stitches itched a little. She put on a pair of her loose girl guide pants and pulled the strings tight. Then found her pair of grey flats and slipped them on. She brushed out her hair. The brush was full of so much hair she threw it out.

"It's shedding season for a wolf." She sighed. "So I shed too." Astrid braided her hair then looked at herself in the mirror. Her scars were neon compared to the rest of her skin. She sighed then left the bathroom. She saw the plain canvas she didn't paint last summer. She went to the closet full of paints and brushes. Then she went over to her canvas. She painted her canvas. The faces of her friends and family appeared on the painting. It was five o'clock in the morning by time she finished. She stepped back and looked. They were perfect down to the last detail. Somebody knocked on the door.

"Yollo." Astrid said. Will popped his head in.

"Thought I would find you here." Will looked around. "You paint that?" He asked.

"Took all night." Astrid put the paint away and cleaned the brushes.

"You okay?" Will asked sitting down in a chair.

"Sure. A little shaky but okay." Astrid sat down on her chair.

" if you're okay you could go back to school." Astrid had about school. She was probably massively behind.

"Yes. I'm okay." Astrid said.

"You look better. Get some sleep." Will said. Astrid shrugged. Will got up and left the cabin. Astrid laid back and gently stroked Fez.

Astrid walked down the beach. She could see a slight blood stain here and there. The sand had a yellow tinge to it. She took the necklace the unnamed camper had given her. She took the beads and put them on her own necklace. She stood taller than she had in days.

"I avenged you and your sister. Thank you." Astrid said and threw the bloodstained leather strap into the sea, morphed and ran to the campfire.

Tonight more funerals took place. The camp had to make a full cemetery in the woods. It was a beautiful meadow for it. At camp everyone abandoned the thought of sitting with your cabin at dinner and here. It was a great sight. Nico and Will sat beside Becca. The other heroes of Olympus sat around them. Astrid and her gang sat close too. Everyone here had a group, nobody was alone. For the first time since the battle. Astrid sang, loud and clear dominating everyone else. She no longer hid her scars or The hair that was growing in grey. Or her wings.
