“Can you believe it’s finally here?!” Hannah said to ConTessa. These two city Iowa girls have been waiting 6 months to see their beloved boy band One Direction in LA on ConTessa’s birthday. They’ve saved, barrowed and worked hard for the money that got them this far. One Direction wasn’t just a band for them, that band was their whole life. Their parents got tired of hearing about it. But they knew all their songs, their birthdays, and if Harry decided to get a new tattoo. “I know, oh my god it’s about freakin’ time” , said ConTessa as she finished packing her suitcase. “I honestly don’t know how I’m going to be able to sleep tonight. I’m going to be seeing the REAL Liam James Payne in front of my eyes” , said Hannah. “And I get to see Niall!”, ConTessa yelled from the other room. “Play Take Me Home and put it on repeat”, smiled Hannah as she zipped up her suitcase & jumped into bed. “Okay! Go to bed!” ConTessa laughed as she pressed play on her laptop. ConTessa got into bed & wrapped up & turned over. I don’t think girls have ever been so excited before. “ConTessa?” , Hannah said as she started getting comfy. “What?” ConTessa said half asleep (already!) “You won’t forget this, I promise you that” Hannah said as she dozed off into dreamland filled with just Liam Payne.
4 am the day of the flight

I want you to hit the pedal heavy medal show me you care..I want you to Roc-Hannah slid her finger across her iPhone to turn off her alarm. “ConTessa, you gotta get up love we have to go to the airport.” Hannah started shaking ConTessa, she won’t budge. So, she got up and turned on Little Things and turned the volume all the way up on Niall’s part & put the phone next to her ear. You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you, you’ll never treat yourself right darling but I want you to, If I let you know I’m here for you, maybe you’ll yourself like I. Love. You. ooooohhhhh. “ugh, Niall I’m trying to sleeppp” ConTessa groaned as she begun to wake up. Jumping on the bed Hannah says, “It’s not Niall it’s Hannah get your lazy ass up we gotta go the airport & I want food so hurry up!” ConTessa groaned and got up to put on sweatpants & a hoodie mad because she’s up so early. Hannah put on the same thing, sweatpants, a hoodie & throw her long brown hair into a messy bun. ConTessa went outside to start the car so it’d be warmed up by the time they got there. Hannah went to wake up her mom and to grab her bag. She picked up ConTessa’s suitcase and it was heavy as hell. Dragging it to the living room Hannah whisper yells, “ConTessa what the fuck do you have in here?! We are going for four days not a fucking year!” “I n-need to make sure I h-have enough options to w-wear when we go to C-California!, ConTessa says as she walks shivering because of the icy breeze from the early morning Midwest weather. “Oh my god , is it really that cold outside?, Hannah groans as she gets her suitcase downstairs. ConTessa shakes her head violently. They all pile all the suitcases in the car quickly and hop into the now somewhat warm car. “Ahhh, heat. I can’t wait to leave this fucking place!” Hannah says as she puts her seatbelt on. “Ready to go girls?” Hannah’s mom says. “As ready as we’ll ever be they both say as they lean against the windows, still extremely tired.
The ride to the airport seemed way too short. Neither of these girls has left home before, let alone go to a “forgien” state alone for four days. They pull up to the airport and they get their suitcases out of the trunk. “Now, make sure you get your ticket and go straight to your gate, after that then you can find food.” Hannah’s mom says. “Mom, we know. We discussed this all last night.” Hannah says. “Okay, I’m just worried about you girls. You can call me anytime you need me, I don’t care what time it is.” Hannah’s mom repeats for the hundredth time. “MOM! Can we go? We are going to miss our flight!” Hannah says as she sits there shivering. “Alright, alright. Hug me so I can go before I start crying” her mom says. Hannah and ConTessa both hug Hannah’s mom and they say they will call her when they land in LA. They both wave at her and head into the airport. “Whoa, this is happening..” Hannah says to ConTessa as they walk away from getting their tickets. They go through security and head to their gate. “The plane doesn’t even board for a half hour.” Hannah says looking at ConTessa. But she wasn’t there. “ConTessa! ConTessa freaking Bazer whe-“ Hannah shouts. And there she was already in line ordering food. She is definitely the girl version of Niall, you think I’m joking but she really is. “I’ll have a chocolate chip muffin, grapes, some of the chips, ummmmm…actually make that two chocolate chip muffins and a Dr. Pepper.” ConTessa says to the guy behind the counter. “Will that be all for you miss?” The guy says with a big smile on his face. “Ummmmmmm…yeah I think so.” ConTessa says as she keeps looking at the menu. “Okay, that will be $16.87”, the guy says happily. She hands him the money and gets her change back. Hannah just walks up and says, “I need a chocolate chip muffin and a strawberry vertio smoothie with EXTRA Red Bull, no whip cream.” “Is that all?”, says the guy once again happily at 4:30 in the morning. “Uh , yeah.” “Alright, you’re total is $10.56” he says smiling. Hannah hands him the money and says “Ya know, you’re way too damn happy and cheerful at 4:30 in the morning, it makes me want to puke a little honestly. I don’t mean that in a bitchy way, it’s just you’re crazy..” “Well, it’s pretty fun. I didn’t take it offensively so don’t worry about it. Here’s your food.” He says handing Hannah her smoothie and muffin. By the time she gets over the table ConTessa has already inhaled almost all of her food. Hannah plops down in the car & lays her head on the table. “It’s way too early for this shit, why didn’t we get a later flight?!” “Because we have to get their early so we can go to the beach” ConTessa with a mouth full of muffin. They sit there for about 10 minutes and eat then they head back to their gate. The 5 am flight to Los Angeles, California is now boarding, some lady says over the intercome. Hannah & ConTessa make their way with their drinks in one hand and their laptop bags in the other while they have their head phones on listening to Take Me Home. “Can I see your tickets please?” this lady also way too happy at 5 am said. They handed her the tickets and hand them back. “Half a safe trip now”, the said says smiling. “ehhhhh” both Hannah and ConTessa say as they walk towards the plane. They find their seats and put their laptop cases in above in the carry on compartment. “I call the window seat!!” Hannah says. She climbs over and gets comfy. ConTessa sits next to her looking pretty freaked out. It’s her first time flying somewhere and she grabs Hannah’s hand as the plane starts moving. Ladies and gentleman this is your pilot speaking if you could turn off all devices and put on your seat belts we are going to start heading to the runway. “Hannah I don’t think I can do this..” ConTessa says as she continues to hold Hannah’s arm tight. “What? Turn off your phone? You push the button on the right dude..” Hannah says as she puts her headphones back in. “NO! Fly. I don’t think I can sit on this plane forever”, ConTessa says. “ConTessa, you will be fine. Just think when we get there you will be seeing Niall I like 24 hours.” Hannah says as she pries ConTessa’s hand off of her arm. ConTessa breaths heavily and says, “Okay, I guess you’re right.” The plane backs up and starts to head to the runway as it gains more and more speed. “You ready for this? It’s the best part”, Hannah says smiling from the seat next to ConTessa. “What is the fun part?”, ConTeessa say as her eyes are the size of the basketball. “Shhh , you’ll feel it here in a second” Hannah says as she lays her head back getting ready to sleep again. The plane starts to lift off the ground. ConTessa starts feeling the cool stomach sinking as you get higher in the sky. “Oh my god, Hannah this is not the fun part! What are you talking about?” ConTessa says. Ladies and gentlemen. You may use you’ll cell phones or laptop. Hannah puts her headphones on and starts playing Truly Madly Deeply, her favorite song which the boys will NOT be singing at the concert. ConTessa puts in her headphone and starts playing Little Things getting comfortable because they’re going to be on the plane for a while. Hannah taps ConTessa on the shoulder and says, “Imagine if we run into One Direction when we get off the plane!” “Well I hope we don’t because I would like Liam to look at me when I look half way decent.” Hannah says as she puts her headphones in. about 10 minutes later their both knocked out. Flying in the sky high for a boy band. If that’s not dedication I don’t know what it is!
