For these questions I will only be answering in ways that would not go beyond anyone that has not gone past the anime.  However if you do have any questions that have to do with spoilers, please leave it in the comments and mark it as a Spoiler.  Two separate sections on this page, one will be Questions and the other will be Symbolism you might of noticed/missed.  I also have a new wattpad posted not that is currently in the works.

Questions:

What is next?

So in regard to the fanfiction as you know the manga is out, but not necessarily completed.  The Light Novel is also ahead of the manga too.  I will be working on using both, so anything published after this will be spoilers to any fans that have mainly been watching the anime.

When would the next chapters be released?

I am planning on working on a new fanfiction, so this will not be top priority especially when the anime itself not finished either. I am still deciding if I should work on a chapter then publish it or just work on all of them and the publish it all at once. If I were to publish it all at once, I do not think I would be done till March-April. If I did it one by one, I feel like that might take awhile between updates. What I do know for sure is that I will continue this story.

Why didn't Y/n recognize Ayanokoji from the White Room?

Things you might be asking is like why Y/n did not recognize Ayanokoji from the White Room.  For anyone who forgot, it was in Ch. 21 The White Room and Ch. 22 The Weight of the Cards.  I was debating on whether or not to put it in the very beginning, so that readers would understand why Y/n did not know who Ayanokoji was.  However I changed my mind and put it in the middle to make it more interesting.

Why is Y/n written the way she is?

I honestly got tired of seeing so many Female Y/n's being pushovers and overall naive.  Just about every romance fanfiction I read it's always the Male character easily winning over Y/n and then its all happily ever after.  I wanted to write something different, where both characters face hardships, betrayal, and genuine connection.  Another thing I felt is that the characters always either seem to get together too quickly or only get together at the very end and then there is not much afterward.

Why is Y/n's eyes referred to as empty and Ayanokoji's eyes are often  referred to dark?

For Ayanokoji, I think it is up to your own interpretation.  I think it represents how far he is willing to go to achieve what he wants without caring about people.  The darkness symbolizing how he prefers violence and the fight and we can see that in the anime when he fights Ryuen, however I obviously did not include that in this fanfiction, but we can still see moments of him trying to manipulate Y/n in the beginning and then continue to manipulate other characters in the plot as well.

For Y/n, the reason why I chose "emptiness" is because in the white room she was made for emotional intelligence and social manipulation.  She was meant to be as smart as Ayanokoji yes, but her main purpose was to mimic emotions convincingly to make her seem approachable and mirror others' emotions.  It is called emptiness because she essentially has no emotions of her own, its just a reflection/combination of others.

Why I had the story refer to Manabu Horikita and Suzune Horikita in certain situations.

I have my story in a google doc, that I can look back at. When I wanted to see something specific one of them said, so I could read over it. I wanted to be able to just search "Manabu" instead of just searching "Horikita" and have it pop up like 200 times(it was 216).

Why did the story shift from using Ayanokoji to using Kiyotaka throughout the story?

This was something you might of noticed if you were paying attention, especially near the end. Since this was written in mainly Y/n's point of view, I wanted it to resemble how she felt towards Ayanokoji.  The more she thought of him in her head as Kiyotaka, the closer she felt with him and more comfortable she was too.
