"...It looks like Kitora had a bad idea," Yuma said as he and Replica watched Kitora land on the Ilgar's back, seemingly planning an attack from behind while it flew.
"Yes, I'm not surprised by her thinking, though," Replica replied.
In the air, as Kitora loaded her gun, numerous thin, dark, whip-like tentacles, each tipped with a bulbous head, appeared around the Ilgar. The sudden appearance startled Kitora, causing her to pause just before a massive explosion.
Numerous explosions rocked the area, smoke obscuring Kitora's fate. When the smoke cleared, Yuma was surprised to see Kitora using a transparent green shield, which she then vanished.
"That's all?" Kitora summoned her sword, Scorpion, and slashed every appendage surrounding her. She then carved a pentagonal shape into the Ilgar's back with Scorpion before unleashing a barrage of gunfire into the opening. Baam after baam after baam echoed through the air.
The Ilgar began to fall slowly.
"Kitora must have planned this to make the Ilgar fall," Yuma observed from the bridge.
"However...this situation is certainly bad," Replica countered, to which Yuma agreed, "Yeah, it's bad."
The Ilgar shuddered, preparing to crash into the city and explode. This seemed to shock Kitora.
Yuma smiled, preparing for battle. "Osamu's counting on me. Let's go, Replica!" he said, activating his trigger and transforming into his black suit.
"What the heck!? What is it...!?" Kitora realized the Ilgar's plan. "Don't tell me it's...planning to fall on the city!"
"The Ilgar sustained too much damage. Using its remaining trion power in a suicide bomb attack, it's likely targeting a populated area, including neighboring locations," Replica explained to Yuma.
"Alright, then before it falls, I'll hit it while it's still in the air. I'll approach without Kitora noticing me," Yuma said, moving to a better position.
"No. Forget that," Replica interrupted. "When you destroy something with your trigger, you generate a trion reaction specific to it. Repeating that reaction will alert the Border."
"In other words, if I attack, the Border will discover my secret?" Yuma asked. "Then I can't do anything if it leaks."
"That's not it," Replica replied. "Kitora is already facing the Ilgar's suicide attack. The Ilgard will be defeated even if you don't attack."
"Ah, I understand. Then it should be fine for me to guide its fall to a deserted place, right?" Yuma asked, preparing himself. "Then, let's do this. I'm counting on you, Replica."
"Roger."
Unnoticed, Replica flew beneath the Ilgard.
"Stop it!! Stop it this instant!! Stop right now!!" Kitora shouted in disbelief and panicked, continuing to fire at the Ilgard.
The citizens fled in panic. Suddenly, as if reacting to something, the Ilgar changed course, heading towards...someone.
Yuma noticed the change of target and, with Replica, planted a chain beneath the Ilgar.
"Chain. Triple."
"Boost. Septa."
Yuma chanted, turning to face the Ilgar. In slow motion, he saw something strike the Ilgar's weak point—an invisible attack. While knowing this prevented further explosion, a city-damaging impact remained a possibility, so he continued their plan. "Here I go!"
Yuma connected the chain, pulled with immense strength, and the Ilgar plunged into the water with a massive splash.
Kitora, thrown by the sudden pull, was astonished. Who had pulled it? How? Who was responsible?
