⋆˚✿˖° Chapter 4 ⋆˚✿˖°

The students watching started whispering and gossiping things as they heard the word Trainee and Offender and more.

Yuma, not liking her attitude, made a face, "What's with her?"

"Kitora Ai, While she was still a middle school student, she was accepted as an A-class elite member." Mikumo explained.

"Heh.. An Elite? Her?" Yuma trailed off and Ku can't help but silently agree with him. "Ain't she a little arrogant?"

"Indeed, the rule has been violated but, as a result he was able to save citizens lives.." Arashiyama countered. Multiple students agreeing with him with stuff such as,

"That's right?" , "Mikumo-senpai is our saviour!"

Mikumo sweat dropped at them though as he awkwardly looked down, 'Not at all... I wasn't the one to save you...'

"..Of course it is valuable that he saved people, However that does not excuse what he did. He has to be punished like any other C-class member would have if they had used their trigger. It's clear as they he could have gotten himself into serious trouble. For example, had he been a member lacking in ability and wanting to act as a hero we would have arrived upon a crime scene. As such, he'll have to be punished to set as an example to other C-class members, this is needed to protect the rules of the border. As such, in accordance with those rules, he has to be punished." Kitora finished as he pointed a finger at Mikumo.

The other student's face has a disbelief written on their face. Mikumo's one of them. Though, after a long silence, Yuma broke it.

"Tell me, aren't you overlooking the fact that you all got here later than you should have?" Yuma asked bluntly. Confusion written on his face as he put a finger on his chin.

Kitora and Mikumo looked at him as if he was insane while Ku agreed to him silently.

"..Who are you?" Kitora asked, a hint of annoyance written in his face.

"A human whose life got saved by Osamu." Yuma answered. He seems to be serious when it comes to acting, huh?

"S.. Stop it Kuga! You should stay quiet!" Mikumo tried to stop Kuga from speaking any further.

"In Japan, do people need permission to help someone?" Arashiyama paused at the question while Kitora let out a small chuckle.

"Each individual is of course free to decide. However, this doesn't have any relation to what we are talking about now right?" Kitora said proudly. "To use your trigger, you necessarily must get authorization. Don't you find this obvious? After all, the trigger belongs to the border."

Ku mentally face palmed at her words while Yuma raised one of his eyebrows, "What are you talking about? Triggers belong to the neighbors first."

Shock immediately clouded their faces at the news while Kuga continued talking "Do you get permission from them every time you use a trigger?"

"A-are you trying to take issue with what Border does?!" Kitora trailed off.

"The truth is.. You just don't like the fact that Osamu got praised."

"Pfft."

"Eh..?"

"Wha.."

Kitora who now has a terrified and yet blushing face, said, "What are you talking about!? I.. I merely explained about the organization's rules.." while stuttering.

"Hmph"

"You.." Ku hummed at the sight of Yuma's grin yet relaxed face. "Make up the stupidest lie."

Clap Clap

"Now, now." They all turned to the source of voice. "We're done investigating the scene. Time to call the collection squad." He has a medium-length dark blonde hair, forming a bowl cut on his head. He also has olive green eyes.

"Tokieda-senpai..! But.." Kitora trailed off.

"I hear what you're saying. But the higher-ups will decide Mikumo's reward or punishment. Not us." He said as he walked forward, "Right, Arashiyama-san?"

Arashiyama immediately agreed with him, "It's exactly as you say, Mitsuru!"

"Ah, right. And you!" Arashiyama pointed to Ku who was looking at something, he spaced out again, so when he saw something pointing at him, he turned to them. "Be sure to go to a doctor right away. Your wound seems to be pretty deep. It might cause infection or so. You might die in blood loss."

Mikumo then remembered he got injured as they were watching the fight earlier. "Right! Akabane-san. Are you doing okay?" Yuma followed with a, "Oh? When did you got injured?" The students watching them also started talking about him.

Ku looked at them unbothered before he replied with a, "Actually,I'm waiting for my sister to help me bandage this up. She's a nurse, so she'll take care of me and it wasn't that deep. I won't die. Though, thank you for worrying." Ku gave them a small bow.

Arashiyama looked unconvinced at first but as he was about to say something, their teacher came to Ku's side, panting and started tampering Ku with questions like- if he was okay, if is he doing okay, when did it happen. She also started talking about how the wound seems pretty deep. That they should bring him into a hospital.

And so on, Ku's left to deal with her for a while. What a pain.

Arashiyama let the scene go as he turned back to Mikumo. "Well, if you say so. Our squad will write up the report on this. Mikumo be sure to report to HQ today. I'll do my best to make sure your punishment isn't severe. I owe you one for protecting my brother and sister. Thank You!"
