"You are Emilia's knight, Natsuki Subaru, aren't you? Help me, vanquish these shapeshifters!" Fusion said to the white caped Subaru.
Damn it! Did the warden really just summon the original timeline Subaru on me?!
"Don't believe him, I suppose! Can't you sense the dark energy surrounding him?" Current Beatrice said in a frustration.
"That is true. Whoever that is, there is a good chance they are evil." The original timeline Beatrice agreed.
"Man, this is really confusing?! Who are you people?" Original timeline Subaru asked.
"I'm not sure how to answer your question, but this is really not the time. We must defeat him first." Current Subaru pointed at Fusion
Fusion looked behind him. "Who? Me? Pff come o-" Without a warning Fusion dashed at original timeline Subaru.
But Subaru dodged the attack as if he knew it was coming.
"What the?" Fusion blurted out.
"Ohhh...Returning by Death, are we? And I lost the ability to control when it happens as well, great! Let's take down the bad guy, I guess!" Fusion protested by himself. No one understood what he meant.
Elsa looked at the Fusion for a sign. Fusion nodded.
With that, Elsa dashed at Emilia as well. But the invisible providence saved her again.
"Beako! Help the other beako to use the light!" Original timeline Subaru shouted.
Ah, great! He knows my weakness, too! Just how many times has he been thorough this already? Is this what Return by Death looks like to other people?
Two Beatrices joined together for an amplified Light beam.
And a blinding light of pure light was shot from their palms.
Fusion dodged the attack at the last second.
"Woe! That was close! It almost killed m-" As he was mocking Beatrices's he realized Elsa got vaporized by the beam. Her faint shadow was still flickering vividly.
"No..." Fusion fell on his knees.
"Now! He is weakened!" Original timeline Subaru shouted as Beatrices prepared another light beam and Emilia was projecting an ice barrier around Current Subaru.
"You...low lifes." Fusion got back up.
"Ultimate technique, Shroud of the night." And with that the Sun darkened in seconds. Since there was no moon the only light source was the light beam being prepared to unleash from Beatrices palms.
"Shift to illumination, I suppose!"
"Indeed, I suppose!"
And they cancelled the beam and cast their light magic to enlighten the area. But Fusion was nowhere to be seen. Everyone was huddled together near Beatrices.
"You believe that light is going to protect you?" A voice was coming around them.
"You are putting too much trust in something so frail." The voice continued to ring.
"Lighteater." With the last part that the voice said. Beatrices light spells vanished.
"Huh?!" Current Beatrice shouted.
"I can't cast it!" Original timeline Beatrice shouted back.
"Die." In the darkness a horrifying voice spoke.
As the darkness was closing in a moment's notice, Current Subaru met "The swift end" with "The judgment." As their swords were clashing in the dark,
"Oh,Child. Using my own power against me? How naive." His voice was distorted and drowned. And yet it was as loud as a train.
