“Beside a woman’s grave I stood in the middle of two just looking down. The rain poured down from the sky as if it was also mourning with me. For the first time after my middle school graduation I finally pulled out the black and white attire that hanged lonely in my wardrobe. I stared down at the familiar face that was lying in the caskets but not able to place it. I looked at the two male faces beside me that was blocked by the gray veil covering my face. Then I can’t remember what happened next all I remember is a gun shot from the audience that I didn’t even see. I stood alone by the grave I didn’t even notice when everyone ran away and why I couldn’t move my leg. The gun shot sound kept getting closer and by the time I taught I was done for I woke up”.
“So, exactly how many times do you have this nightmare?” Mrs. Camilla asked as she jutted down some gibberish.
“Only once”. I replied to her question.
“Okay that’s not bad, only once a month or a week?” Camilla questioned.
“None, once every day from at least around 12pm cause when I wake up it’s normally 2am in the morning and I sleep around 11 or 10pm.” I answered Camilla's question again.
As Camilla kept on writing on the notebook I opened my eyes to look around the room and everything was just spinning round and round around me.
“You know Camilla, I don’t think that this is working out for any of us don’t you agree with me? How about we just end the session with today’s meeting it will benefit both of us right?”
I stood up from the bed and grabbed my bag from the corner and was just about to walk out when Camilla called me back,
“Wait Kayla, today’s session wasn’t really planned out for me, it was a sudden meeting for the both of us and I can clearly see your rushing for school so how about we meet at the pastries shop later, okay?” Camilla suggested.
I really don’t have much to do today so I just nodded in agreement to what Camilla said.
I was so anxious about starting a new school and I didn’t manage to get any sleep the day before. I just needed to put on a brave face until I can fit in with all the magical stuff what so ever.
“I’m just going to be quite and mindful of what ever I do. No one is going to call me crazy or even mess with me again”.
I guess being called crazy isn’t really a lie cause some times I just stand and talk to my self with the mindset that someone’s actually listening to me and is also understanding everything I’m saying.
The city was divided in five parts, the normals, the Scientist, the killers, the royals and the most dangerous of the all the black spirits.
They all gathered in this one school to master or in my case learn about their special abilities.
“Paranom, taught I’ll never bring myself to come to this “. Even if I was talking to myself I still felt like some one could here me and was watching me.
I turned my head behind and saw a lady looking at me. The tag on her clothes stated that she was the principal. I didn’t know weather to bow or shake hands, but she ended up being the one deciding that.
“ Hello there, you must be Kayla Addamson from the royals side of town if I'm right?” The tall lady asked as she offered her hand out for a hand shake.
“ Yes, but please Addamson is my last name and based on birth I'm from the killer’s part of the city , my name is Addison if you don’t mind”. I said returning the hand shake.
“ Alright darling, I'm principal Elnora from the scientist part of town. I created this high establishment to help people learn about each of their special abilities and to also create friendships by uniting the five parts of this city in this one school, that's why even normals are accepted even though they lack spiritual or special abilities”. Mrs Elnora told me but I wasn’t even paying attention because my mind was completely lost.
“Anyways, permission to be late for the first day of school was taking by your dad, so you wouldn't be punished. You’re in the exception class, but you’ll be taking your ability level test at the end of the day”. Mrs Elnora said as we made our way towards the Exception class.
“But since I haven’t taken the ability level test how do you know that I made it into class exception?” I asked confusedly.
“Darling a hand shake tells more than you know. Enjoy your class and if you have any other problems, feel free to come to me for help or assistance”. Mrs Elnora said as she stopped me by the door and waved goodbye.
“What did she mean that a handshake tells more than you know? I’m lost” I taught to my self as i finally grabbed up the courage to enter the class.
