"This must be your own choice. When you go down this path, you will be fearsome, vicious. Cruel. Do you still want this?"

The man pulled his hand slightly away.

Subaru looked at him again and then to the glimmer.

This was the moment of truth. All of his labor could be gone in an instant.

"I...I don't care. If this is what it takes, then I'm willing to go down this path."

Subaru reached the glimmer. And then his body started radiating dark glimmer like a beacon.

"Mag...nificent..." Fusion said with wide eyes open

The witch was clearly upset, but the fact that Subaru wanted this himself made her go quiet

"Now. Carry on. Do what you must." Fusion disappeared into shadows.

"Wait! Who are you?!" But before Subaru could grab him, he was already gone.

Now he knew what he needed to do. He made his way to the loot house...

"So...am I going to lose on purpose?" Elsa asked Fusion as they wait near the loot house for Subaru.

"There won't be any need. He will overpower you surely. He is capable."

Elsa seemed unsure.

"Do you plan for me to die?"

"No."

As Fusion gave his definitive answer. Subaru showed up. His little fruit knife had gotten longer into a shadowy blade.

"ELSA!"

Elsa gave a smile to Fusion before descending.

"Ara ara, little pub has gotten fangs now."

She drew her kukri blades

"Let's see how will that changes your guts!"

To her surprise, her blade went through him like a hot knife through butter.

"Ara?"

As she was going to look again to ensure the cut. Subaru's form changed into a dark shadow and he sidestepped to lend a blow on Elsa.

Taken by surprise, Elsa got wounded on her arm.

"Not bad."

Elsa went ahead with a ferocious speed, surprising even Fusion.

As they were clashing Emilia and puck showed up to the scene.

"What are these two doing?" Emilia asked as she narrowed her eyes to see clearly.

"Whatever they are doing an incredible amount of malice radiating through them!" Puck said as he stood in front of Emilia to shield her from the dark aura.

In a flash, Subaru's physical form got cut open like cabbage.

"Ahah!" Elsa exclaimed triumphantly.

"This is not what happened." Subaru locked eyes with Elsa as time itself rewinded back to the blow occurring.

"What?!" Elsa was shocked at the sight of Subaru fixing his mistake with literal time travel.

"What is the scary lady surprised about, Puck?" Emilia asked.

"I'm not sure..." puck said grimly.

So it's not visible to them...

Fusion thought as he watched the battle unfold.

So you can rewrite reality! Doesn't matter! I will cut you again and again!!

Elsa got even faster. Stabbing and shifting her position seemingly almost instant to the naked eye.

Each time Subaru got mortally wounded time seems to shift instantly to protect him from the wound he suffered.

"That kid is invincible!" Emilia exclaimed with a touch of astonishment.

The balance seemed to be shifted against Elsa. She suffered more and more wounds to seemingly a bitter end.

"Haa...to think this is how I will lose..."

"Time to die, bowel hunter." Subaru dashed forward to land the killing blow.

"In your dreams!" Elsa deflected the strike... but the time shifted again to give Subaru another chance.

"Thats-" Before Elsa could finish. Subaru cut her in half.

But instead of her body falling down, there was simply shadows dissolving around her disappeared body.

And a small round relic fell down from the shadows that were almost gone.

"Yours, I believe. Lady Emilia.

Subaru said with a calm,cold voice.

"Where am I?" Elsa asked. Her voice echoed in the vast emptiness.

"Void. My promise stands."

Elsa looked at the owner of the voice. And smiled.

"Ahh...you are pampering me, my lord." Elsa said with a respectful bow.

"This is your turning point. Embrace it with grace."

Fusion drawn the swift end.

Elsa drawn her shadow kukris.

And they clashed. The battle was fierce and brutal but against overwhelming odds Elsa fell down in her knees.

"Ara~ as expected my lord. I am no match."

Elsa said somberly yet with a peaceful bliss.

Fusion extended his hand and opened his palm. The dark glimmer was visible even in the dark void.

"My... so this was your plan all along?"

Fusion kept his steady gaze. His eyes not leaving Elsa's.

"You honor me, my dear lord."

Elsa's voice was full of affection. It even touched Fusion's darkened heart.

And without a further due she embraced the shadow in the ethereal void.
