Hinata's eyes widened as he dropped his controller, looking towards his mother, who had a face of disappointment and annoyance. She was crossing her arms and tapping her foot on the ground.

" Care to explain? "

Hinata stammered on his words, trying to make up an excuse, but he just caved.

" I'm sorry, mom! I was really nervous about the test. "

He explained. It wasn't exactly a lie, but it was stretching the truth a little. She furrowed her brows as she walked up to Hinata's console and unplugged it, taking away his controller and his console.

" You aren't getting this back for a month. "

Hinata's eyes widened as he stood up quickly.

" Mom, please! I-I promise I'll make this up to you! Just please... don't take away my console! "

Hinata pleaded, looking at her with sad eyes. She didn't budge as she left the room with Hinata's console and controller, taking it to the attic and placing it up there in a box.

Hinata cried softly, feeling terrible for lying to his mom as he continued to plead with her for forgiveness, telling her that he would do anything to get his console back. So she told him that he had to pass his test.

Hinata agreed. He would pass this test to get back his console. It wasn't like Hinata was obsessed with gaming, but it was one of the only times he got to bond with Kenma since they didn't see each other very often.

That night, Hinata started to feel off. He was warmer than usual and had to take his blanket off multiple times throughout the night, which caused him to get very, VERY little sleep. The next morning, when Hinata woke, he was covered in a layer of sweat.

Hinata went to school after trying to plead with his mom that he actually didn't feel well this time, but she obviously didn't believe him. He headed to the gym for morning practice.

Hinata sighed softly as he rubbed his eyes, feeling super exhausted as he trudged into the gym, looking around at the team before heading to Daichi. He noticed the team was looking at him a little strange, but he just ignored it, assuming maybe they were just upset he missed practice yesterday.

" Hey Daichi, could I sit out this morning? I'm a little tired and not feeling the greatest. "

Hinata asked kindly. Daichi crossed his arms, shaking his head.

" No way, Hinata. You think I'm going to believe you after you missed practice yesterday because you faked being sick? "

Hinata's eyes widened. The team knew? Did he accidentally message them instead of Kenma? Hinata never meant to miss practice. He just wanted to miss the test.

" I-I mean it, Daichi, I'm really not feeling that great. "

Daichi scoffed slightly. He wanted to believe Hinata. He really did, but it just wasn't believable.

" Drop this Hinata, go warm up for practice. "

Daichi persisted, causing Hinata to lower his head in defeat as he walked over to the other teammates, who also told him that it was very rude to fake being sick and miss practice. It seemed like the whole team was against him, and he felt like shit.

Hinata had to do his makeup test later that day, a throbbing headache splitting through his brain as he wrote down the answers, barely able to comprehend the questions, but somehow he managed to get a passing grade.

Hinata called his mother in hopes that she would pick him up since he felt terrible, but she refused, saying that she was busy.

So Hinata made the long treacherous ride back home, having to take multiple breaks to catch his breath or just rub his temples to get rid of the horrible headache.
