Jungkook

I had just stepped into my home after the meeting at the Jungs’ mansion. I’d stayed back for lunch, thanks to Mr. Jung’s casual invitation and honestly, I wouldn’t have missed the chance to see my baby for anything.

Lunch passed in a blur. Mr. Jung asked light business questions, Mingyu stayed comfortably quiet, only speaking when absolutely necessary.

Me? I was just... staring. Watching. Devouring her presence. YN had changed into something more comfortable—a black loose crop top and black-and-white joggers. Her damp hair fell over her shoulders, fresh from a shower.

She looked... unearthly. Like innocence dressed in sin.
She thought she embarrassed herself. Silly little dove.
I chuckled to myself. How could she think that?
She’s the definition of serenity. And soon, she’ll be mine.

Less than a month.

I can’t wait anymore.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Dad.

“We need to visit the Jungs. Tomorrow. For the proposal.”

“Fine, Jungkook. We'll go,” Dad replied coolly.

But I knew this needed strategy. We had to offer a deal that would make things easier for them to say yes. Though, deep down, I knew Mr. Jung wouldn’t trade his daughter for business—he wasn’t that kind of man. His love for her was too obvious.

But I love her too.

No deal could match the intensity of what I feel.

And I’ll make sure she’s always happy. Always mine.

I was in my office, right beside my bedroom, when a maid knocked and informed me that Dad had arrived and dinner was ready.

We sat down at the dining table with Dad at the head, me on his right.

“So,” he began, lifting his wine glass, “we offer Yn’s hand in exchange for exclusive appliance supply contracts for all our upcoming resorts in Seoul?”

“Yes,” I said simply. “And it wouldn’t even be a loss. The Jungs are more than capable.”

Dad nodded. “Even if it was a loss, I wouldn’t care. You chose a girl from a respectable family. That’s already good. I’ll get Yang to prepare the paperwork. I’ll also inform Mr. Jung about our visit tomorrow.”

The Jungs were already a strong name in the business world. Our current appliance deals were tied to underworld contracts—part of a broader weapons supply chain. But I saw potential in Mingyu. He was quiet, yes, but every word he spoke carried weight.

This deal would benefit both sides.
And even if it didn’t...
Dad knew I’d burn down the world if I had to—for her.

“Thanks, Dad. Goodnight.”

I headed to bed, my heart already spiraling into dreams filled with her—her voice, her smile, her scent.

At the Jung Mansion

Mr. Jung and Mingyu welcomed Mr. Jeon and Jungkook into the main living room. Mr. Jeon had requested the meeting, and though Haejin was slightly confused, he assumed it had to do with their current business dealings.

“We’re here to discuss something important, Mr. Jung,” Mr. Jeon began.

Haejin’s brows lifted.
