Chapter 11

In her cabin, Haseena eyed KS. It broke her heart to see KS in pain but she had to go according to the plan. Haseena looked at her a final time vowing to herself that she'd make everything better as she coordinated with CC and SS to arrange the party.

KS finished her work and left the station, her heart heavy with the bitterness of the day. She sped through the streets, her mind hovering above her. As she entered her house, she was shocked to see the lights switched off. She opened the door slowly when she was suddenly thrown off her feet.

"SURPRISE!!!!!" voices yelled at her as the lights flicked.

KS looked around and saw her whole team standing in front of a banner which said "Happy Birthday KS." On a table, she saw a small cake along with presents and birthday cards. She was dumbfounded. She looked around the team when Haseena stepped forward.

"Happy Birthday KS...." She said as she hugged her.

"Madam Sir.....this" KS asked pointing her hands towards the decorations.

"Haan madam we wanted to surprise you" CC said.

"But how did you know...?" she asked still surprised.

"Lalla called me" Haseena said, her eyebrows raised.

So this is what he had planned, KS thought as her frown disappeared and a look of joy shone through her face.

CC and SS dragged her to the front and they started to cut the cake. The whole team showered her with presents. KS felt overwhelmed by their love towards her. As they gathered around for dinner, KS saw the silhouette of her father standing in the doorway. She smiled through her tears, swallowing the lump in her throat.

As the cake pieces disappeared in an instant, KS saw the lights dimmed. She was forcefully dragged to the sofa alongside madam sir and Puspha Ji. CC and SS took their places in the middle.

"Madam....!" SS shouted. "This is for you."

KS's eyes curled in anticipation as she saw CC and SS starting to sing a song dedicated to her. Tears welled up in her eyes as she continued to stare at their performance. The song winded down leaving everyone in a rush of emotions.

"Madam Sir..." she whispered. "I think we'll have to visit the hospital after this."

"What why?" Haseena asked momentarily confused,

"Everyone is affected by your emotional philosophy" she said chuckling. Haseena playfully swatted her arm as their attention was redirected to another blast of music. They looked and saw CC, SS and Puspha Ji dancing wholeheartedly.

KS was surprised to see her team like this yet her surprise was momentary. She was dragged to the stage by SS. KS felt squashed on either side as everyone stood flaunting their moves.

Haseena stood on the sofa, her eyes watching with eagerness as her team enjoyed. She was surprised to see KS dancing. That, she thought was a treat indeed.
