Welcome! I actually just played DBH for the first time this month, and now I'm on my third playthrough. To say I am obsessed is an understatement... Anyway! Every Connor fic I read always takes place post-revolution, but like, I wanna see some action! So here you go.

Some basic facts:

Reader is in her late 20s, I'd say 28(?), to be a teeny tiny bit realistic and stay true to the detective role. However, it doesn't rlly matter and y'all are free to let your own imaginations run wild lol

(I actually don't know what the process of becoming a detective is like so it's not like this fic is gonna be parallel to the real deal)

I'm actually making this up as I go, with some parts of the story already in mind, so if there're plot holes please let me know!

⦾ The story will follow the general plot of the game

⦾ Since this is a decision-based game, most of the decisions in-game will be based off of my own playthroughs and whatever I believe would be beneficial to the plot.

⦾ The story will switch between POVs (Connor and reader, maybeee Hank, Kara, and/or Markus—probably not)

⦾ The concept of rA9 will definitely be explored because the game's "explanation" did absolutely nothing to satiate my curiosity

⦾ Tbh I have no idea how frequent updates will be, but I'll try to post at least twice a month (chapters will be a decent length) if life allows it (life did not allow it 🫠)

⦾ Going back and editing chapters as the story progresses will happen, so don't be shy to reread!

⦾ TRIGGER WARNING!!! This story will touch on abuse, alcoholism, suicide, rape (will NOT happen to any of the characters, ONLY REFERENCED), and other dark themes. Warnings will be at the beginning of the chapters they are in, so read at your own discretion.

⦾ Lastly, and most obviously, there will be major and minor spoilers for the game if you haven't seen or played the game yourself (or found certain endings)

Okay that was a lot, but I promise I shall serve y'all an absolute feast. Constructive criticism is more than welcome, just don't be rude, thanks!
