𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝚊 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚖𝚢 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚕𝚢 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚜
First of all—thank you, every single one of you, who clicked on this story and is divulging time to read. I will never be able to show enough gratitude for each and every person who supports my writing.
For those who may not know, this story is technically a rewrite of my previous Doctor Who fanfiction titled 'HELLFIRE'.
Hellfire has its flaws—1000%, but it is still something I'm proud of. I remember writing day and night at 14, grinding out chapters with every ounce of love and dedication that I hold for The Doctor.
With that being said, I will be a forever fan of Doctor Who, so now at the big age of 22, I think it is time for another story considering I promised to continue HELLFIRE in some manner.
At first, I considered doing a sequel to HELLFIRE. But as proud as I am of it and although there is much love for it; that story is definitely very cringey and I just can't get myself to write any kind of sequel when my writing is different now. Especially considering that readers of the sequel would be forced to go back and read the first story.
Don't get me wrong, please go read HELLFIRE, I still love it, but overall trying to write a sequel for it this long after it's been finished is difficult.
So, this is a re-write/new version.
I will not lie, while this is a technical rewrite, SPACE JAM is incredibly different from the original version.
Our main character—no spoilers—has a different name and complete different history.
There are still some elements that come from the original fanfiction, but overall it is a new story of its own.
Now, onto more detailed things about SPACE JAM.
In this book, the main generations of the Doctor that are featured are ten and eleven. Twelve may make the occasional appearance!
However, this will be following generations ten and eleven throughout series 4-7. Mainly centering seasons 5, and 6!
The television show storyline has not really been altered in this fic, I'm sticking to canon as much as possible but it's important to note that I do have an original storyline going on at the same time so it may change certain things around. There are also a lot of original chapters and adventures.
Personally, I think this makes it more interesting. If you've already watched all the episodes of Doctor Who then why would you want to read those same episodes plus a random character stealing lines?
No hate to the fics that do that... but like... it doesn't make for the most interesting fanfic. Sorry not sorry!
But again, I still be reading so no hate at all!!
Obviously, I'll still be writing through the episodes and adding the main character in but seriously there will also be many chapters with original adventures/side-quests.
There are a few moments where the story switches to the third person. But they are far and few between, the only purpose is to get the perspective of other characters when the protagonist is not present.
No one is perfect. The Doctor certainly isn't perfect and the protagonist is most definitely not perfect.
Some decisions that the protagonist makes might have you tilting your head—not quite as much nor to the degree that you probably did in HELLFIRE, but this book still has its own moments where as a reader you might cringe or be like wtf?!
As is life. Everyone is just trying to survive in their own way in this story. Our main character is trying to survive with some dazzle!
So please, when you run into those head tilting wtf moments, pretty please try to keep an open mind and understanding.
This story is rated mature for a reason. I am targeting to a primarily 17+ audience. Now, I know that I was certainly reading some wild things long before I was 17, so I'm not here to judge or tell you to leave if you're not 17. But I am giving you a fair warning now, don't read if you can't handle or are not about mature scenarios.
If you are not comfortable with reading the following themes then you might reconsider engaging this story.
WARNINGS: - SWEARING (like extreme, our lovely protagonist has a bit of a trash mouth) - EXPLICIT SEX (they're all grown + literally aliens therefore we getting freak nasty up in this book sooo take that as you will) - DRUG/ALCOHOL USAGE - ABUSE - EXTREME VIOLENCE
Also, please don't copy this story.
Now that all of that is out of the way, I will end this foreward with one last message.
Have fun, find comfort, and escape reality while reading this story. Keep your mind open and find peace. Allow the stars to dance in your face and your mind to twirl. Let your excitement flow and your creativity run. Watch our fantasies come to life as we run off on the adventure of lifetime with a madman alien in a big blue box.
I truly hope you love reading this as much as I loved writing it. For the longtime readers—it's certainly been a long time coming.
