A girl called Vritti from behind and caught her almost running before she entered the locker room.

"Hey Aarna ! What happened ?" Turning towards the girl she asked.

"Nothing. Just come with me. I was waiting for you" Said Aarna with her chest panting. Aarna Jadhav, Vritti's bestie in the college.

"Where ?"

"To the assembly room."

"Umm... This bag...." Vritti mumbled looking at the bag she was holding and back towards the locker room but didn't say anything further and left with Aarna.

Vritti pursued a BDes in Interior Design at the local university in Ooty to showcase her creativity whereas Aarna was a student of Fine Arts. Both were friends since their primary school and took admission in the same college. It had been a few months in that college and they had become friends with many people there, including their seniors as well. This very day the college was organizing a freshers' party in which Vritti and Aarna were participating in a song duet. The atmosphere was filled with energy, laughter, music and colour.

"They are finalising the list and calling all participants personally. Roma Di asked me to call you too." Aarna notified while heading towards the assembly hall amid a flurry of the program.

"Ohh !"

As Vritti and Aarna reached the hall there was a group of seniors discussing something a little far from the entrance. When they both reached nearer, a few among them looked at them and smiled as if they were already waiting for them.

"Hello Aarna ! Hello Vritti !" Roma greeted them with a smile glancing back at her team and continued. "We were waiting for you only".

Vritti smiled back and suddenly her smile turned into nervousness by looking at Arush who was so indulged in his work so far. At Roma's words he looked up to see them and couldn't resist a smile at Vritti's changing expressions.

"Ohh wow ! The flower girl is also here? Hello Pickle !" He said making her more nervous. He never left any chance to gain her attention.

"By the way, which song are you performing ?" Arush asked looking at Vritti in her eyes. A smile of adoration was clearly visible on his face as he adored her since the very first day of her college.

"It's the same." Vritti replied with a soft pressed smile, signalling towards the paper, Roma was holding.

"Okay! I'm finalizing this now." Roma said before Arush could ask anything further and ticked off their name. "Rest, we'll talk later. You both just get ready fast." She said to Vritti and stood up swiftly, "Now we are going to announce the initial rituals- Saraswati Pooja, Ganesh Vandana and felicitation of guests."

She knew well that Aarush might try to stretch the conversation with Vritti a little more.

"Come on guys! We are already half an hour late..." she added with an impish smile, glancing at her friends and deliberately ignoring Aarush. They all parted ways, heading to their respective tasks.
