Macaque sighs. "Look, that kid idolized you. You're his literal hero, and you just..."

"I just what?" Monkey King looked at him.

"He needs to know it's not all on him. You need to do better." Macaqur disappeared through a shadow portal.

"Are you alright, Y/n?" Monkey King looks at me.

"No, not really." I frowned. "Ever since the Jade Emperor was destroyed, I can hear the universe screaming, and this voice in my head keeps saying these words that I can't understand."

"What's the voice saying?" Monkey King asked me with concern lacing his voice.

"崛起吧，新的生命女神." I told him. "I just don't understand what it means."

Monkey King's eyes darted away for a split second before summoning his cloud and put me on it. "We'll figure it out, now, let's go see that surprise you guys planned."

Me and Monkey King flew down the mountain and to the entrance of Shulian Cave.

"Okay, okay, I'm here, everybody." Monkey King steps off his cloud.

"W-W-We're not done, we're not done yet! Grab him!" Mei shouted.

MK jumps on Monkey King and covers his eyes. "Sorry, just a second."

"Wha? You called me!" Monkey King tries to pull MK off of him.

I chuckled a little while the two struggled.

"It'll be just a second!" Mei shouted as she and the others finished the last touches on the surprise.

"This is-- kid, if this is important..." Monkey King drags out.

"Nah, we're doing this now." MK smirks.

"Look kid, you can't just..." Monkey King tried to pull MK off of him."

"Done!" Pigsy shouts.

"Oh, thank goodness!" MK gets off Monkey King and stands beside me.

"Phew." Mei sighed in relief.

Monkey King looks up to see his newly refurbished house. "What?"

"Ta-daaaa!" Me and MK gestured to the newly built house.

"What is this?" Monkey King looked at the place in awe.

"Heh? It's... it's your house. Right? Augh. Well, after your old house kinda went kablooey, and your hair clones thing was kind of a bust..." Mei says.

"Hehe, well you know, we uh..." Pigsy drags out.

"We all pitched in and rebuild-ed your house! Ta-da!" MK said excitedly. "Come on, let's show you the inside!"

While the others showed Monkey King his new-looking house, I sat at the entrance to Shulian Cave, lost in thought.

What does it mean?

I need to know. Whatever this means could explain why I have these powers, and why I was reincarnated, I might find out who reincarnated me if I figure out what it means.

"Shut up!" I screamed.

"Y/n?" MK appears beside. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, no, maybe, but I should be asking you that. You're the one that needs more help, not me." I held my head in my hands.

"Hey, you can always talk to me about." MK helps me to my feet. "I'm right here with you."

I smiled lightly. "As am I."

Suddenly, the sound of Pigsy's alarm went off.

Pigsy pulled out his phone. "Oh! Ooh, dinner rush is about to start! I better—."

"On it, boss!" MK picks me up bridal style and grabbed the rest of our friends.

"You wanna stay? You can stay." Pigsy tried to tell him.

"Nope! Noodles need delivering, soup needs simmering! We can't let the people down!" MK grabs Tang's khakkhara and teleported us back to the city.

Work had now ended, I was cleaning up the rest of the dishes while MK and Pigsy were having a father/son moment.

Not wanting to disturb it, I cleaned up the last of the dishes.

"Hey, can I come out now." Ink whines from inside the jar, which I had placed on the counter.

"No, you are not coming out until the morning. You were bad, and this is your punishment." I said to Ink.

"I'm starting to wish I was back in the scroll." Ink grumbles.

Once I put up the last of the dishes, I see MK struggling to take a sleeping MK up the stairs.

"Here, I got him." I took MK from Pigsy.

"You sure you can take him?" Pigsy asks.

"Yeah, just do me a favor and watch Ink, he's doing some jar time, right now, goodnight." I told Pigsy before carrying MK upstairs to bed.

Once we were upstairs, I gently laid MK down on the bed.

I laid down beside him, my face staring at his soft sleeping face.

I put my arm around him, smiling softly. "I love you, MK, and I would do anything to keep you safe."

Still sleeping, MK wrapped both of his arms around me, pulled me closer, and starting snuggling me.

I rested my head in the crook of his neck, letting sleep overtake.

I woke up all of a sudden to find me, MK, Monkey King, and Macaque all together in front of these guys in cloaks.

"What the f##k?!"
