The next thing I did was turn around to see MK and Monkey Ling starring at a broken stone, more importantly, their stone.

"Oh, huh. A stone. I mean... our stone. You know it's not something we can outrun, right? Your monkey form, what it means?" Monkey King rubbed the back of his head.

MK held his arm. "Uh, can we-cane we just not?"

"MK, you haven't been getting enough sleep. I know it, you know, so please, it's okay." I looked at him filled with worry.

"Y/n's right, kid, it's okay to take a minute." Monkey King tried to tell him.

"Nope! I'm a monkey now. If I stop, I die." MK said while it looked like his soul was hanging out of his mouth. "I'm compartmentalizing!"

"MK, that's sharks." I told him.

"Nope! Definitely monkeys. Oh! Oh, oh, oh! I just remembered! Uh, we uh-we uh, we got a surprise for you." MK said to Monkey King.

"A surprise?" Monkey King smiles before shaking his head. "Wait, no, we should--.:

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're gonna love it! Just, just wait here! Distract for a bit, Y/n, love you." MK summounded his cloud and flew down the mountain.

"Kid, we need to..." Monkey King tried to tell MK, but he was already gone.

All of a sudden, Macaque appeared through a stone from the shadows. "Well... that went well, bud."

Monkey King rolls his eyes. "Ugh. Are you actually lurking here?"

Macaque smirks, crossing his arms. "Hey, this mountain's been my home just as long as yours."

"Oh my gosh! Enough, you two!" I turned to Macaque. "Did you find anything yet?"

Macaque shakes his head. "No, but... with the Jade Emperor gone, the Celestial Realm's... things aren't looking good. Wukong... the kid."

"I know." Monkey King said.

"You need to talk to him." Macaque told him.

"I know! But... he's not ready." Monkey King lowered his head.

"You mean you're not ready. You really are the worst mentor. He need— we need to know everything we can." Macaque argued.

Monkey King clenched his fists. "He's just a kid. Can't he just--."

"Monkey King, Macaque's right. He's not a kid. He's my boyfriend, and hes more than that. I wish I knew more, like I did before, but I don't know. Why did you choose? Did you know already?"

"No, I didn't know. It just felt... right." Monkey King turned away.

Macaque starts shouting. "And that doesn't bother you!? This kid that just happens to have all your powers, that's at the center of all of these battles... and you never questioned why? None of us even knew he existed. How?! We have no idea who freed Azure from the scroll. All your old companions are just... here again? And you just—."

Monkey King growls and turns back around with a snap. "What about YOU? You just... come back! You just—."

"Augh!" Macaque shouts in frustration. "Look, there's someone pulling all of our strings, ESPECIALLY the kid's, and Y/n, we don't even know the source of her powers, or what exactly she's here for. Whoever it is, they're not finished."

"Are you, bud?" Monkey King asks with a straight face.

Macaque huffs. "Do you want my help or not? You're such a di—."

"You were a villain five minutes ago and now you're showing me how to—."

"It's ready! Monkey King? Y/n, you can bring him down now!" We heard MK shouting for us.
