~ twenty one ~

The rest of pre season sped by.

Arsenal had played three champions league matches, winning 2 of them before losing to Bk Häcken.

It was now the opening weekend of the WSL.

Arsenal had Manchester city which was going to be a bittersweet moment for Viv.

Of course, viv left Arsenal for city and it just had to be Arsenal that they played first.

The game kicked off and both teams struggled to get a good start.

Frida ended up scoring first, her goal followed by Viv scoring for city.

Half time came around and I took Lottie down to the changing rooms because Lottie was whining for Alessia. Maisie was fast asleep on Luca so I left her there with him.

"Hi, bubba." Alessia exclaimed as Lottie went running into the changing rooms.

"Hi, baby." I tell her as I hug her, kissing her cheek.

"Where's Maisie moo?"

"Fast asleep with Luca."

"And how's little man?" Alessia asks, her thumb rubbing over my very clear bump now.

And yes, she said little man. Once we returned from the US, Lotte organised a gender reveal party and we found out we were having a little boy.

"He's good, kicking a lot. Clearly excited to see his mummy on the pitch."

"I'll try score for you all."

"Thank you, lessi. Anyway, Lottie Lou, mummy has to go back out now." I say, attempting to take her off less but she just clings to Alessia's top.

"Mummy." She babbles

"I'll keep her, liv. She can come out on the bench with me. Someone will look after her when I go on."

"Okay. Good luck, baby. Love you."

Jess park scored early on in the first half, but Arsenal managed to get an equaliser in the 81' minute.

And guess who it was... Lessi.

Like she said, she scored a goal for us all.

She faced the corner we were in and blew us a kiss.

Ten game ended 2-2. A point shared for both teams.

Not the greatest start to the season but definitely not the worst.

What made the day ten times better was the fact that I had an important message from my manager when I got home.

"Oh my god! Lessi!" I exclaim, reading the message.

"What, baby?"

"I'm nominated for the ballon d'or! I got nominated!"

"That's incredible, love. I'm so so proud of you. You deserve it so much livvy." Lessi says, getting emotional as she hugs me.

"Baby, why are you crying?"

"You've gone through so much the past few months, liv. You just deserve it so much."

"I love you so much, Alessia."

"I love you too, liv."
